Absolutely loved the decor, so unique and quirky. The staff were exceptional. So polite, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was fantastic. Loved the later check out and later breakfast times. Ideal for our stay.

I traveled for 3 months and this was my favorite hotel experience thanks to the lovely team running things. Beautiful hotel with great modern art covering the walls. Quiet garden out back. Great breakfast! I love the location as well. It’s really quiet but close enough that I walked everyday to the tourist attractions. Or a quick taxi ride if you aren’t up for the walk. The trail to Arthur’s seat is a close by as well as Palace of Holyroodhouse and Calton Hill is directly behind the hotel where you can catch an amazing sunset. I started out with a booking for 2 nights in the twin room. Small room but very comfortable and cozy, lovely view of the garden and the bed was extremely comfortable. I had such a nice stay that I ended up extending 3 times and had the opportunity to stay in the smallest room on up to one of the biggest (4 different rooms by the end of the stay). Each room better than the last but I loved each one I stayed in and would happily stay in any of them again. Each was beautifully decorated with a little quirkiness shining through, see the chandeliers! The beds are all extremely comfortable and great views! I can not speak highly enough of the staff. It’s a family run hotel and a small team so there is opportunity to chat with most everyone. They are so kind and extremely helpful. They went above and beyond for me many times without me having to even ask. They truly are the loveliest people. From moving my luggage from room to room to giving me the can’t miss spots on my itinerary and when to run up and catch the sunset. Multiple people even tried to help me figure out where to go/what to do when I ran into a travel planning snafu the day I was meant to leave and was very stressed out. The Whisky tasting with Tony is a can’t miss activity! Great information and fantastic stories. And his blend of Whisky is delicious! Loved everything about this hotel from top to bottom.

20 minute walk to the Royal Mile.

The bed was SOOO comfortable. The room was a good size. The breakfast was amazing. The artwork gave the place a really cheerful vibe.

A beautifully restored Georgian house to create a boutique hotel. Loved the art and the whiskey tasting room. Hotel breakfast was healthy and delicious.

The Property was lovely! The rooms were comfortable with all the amenities you would desire. The location was 5-10 minute walk from bus/tram stops that connect you with the rest of the city.

Location a bit out of the way but that might suit some? Also do not use google maps as this takes you over Calton Hill (with suitcases and clothes etc!) rather than around it!

Very clean and every facility (and more) in your rooms. Staff very friendly especially Jonathan, loved the impromptu mini whiskey testing!! Fab choice of breakfast and a truly quirky boutique hotel.

it was somewhat farther from the town center than I had expected; noise from the hallway (not that anyone was yelling, but I could hear people just talking from outside)

The room we had was the smallest you could book but the ceiling is so high that it still feels really comfortable. They do a great job of making good use of the space.

Very charming hotel with excellent staff. They accommodated all requests and were incredibly friendly. The decor is beautiful, unique and fun and the breakfast was exceptional.
