We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomAs with many holiday lets, there wasn't a clothes airer available for hanging up towels after showering, we hung them over the bedroom doors, the shower cubicle on the top floor was small and needed a shower caddy for shampoo and soap etc as they had to be left on the floor and being a tight space it was very difficult to bend down to pick them up.
Excellent location for local attractions, restaurants, pubs, 30 minutes drive or so to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, Bamburgh Castle, Seahouses. Visitor parking available at rear of property, first come first served basis, as not allocated to property as such, there is also some street parking available nearby. Large, cosy three double bedroom house, clean, airy, everything provided for. Many thanks to the host(s) for leaving an excellent information bundle and a very generous welcome tray of goodies, the best we've ever had.

United KingdomThe mattresses were large but "springy". Even so, we slept well. We took a large sourdough loaf but couldn't slice it because there was only a blunt carving knife and very small sharpish knife.
The location was very good: a 300 metre walk into centre. A large TV with comfortable seating which, unfortunately, is missing in many rentals. The house had everything apart from a bread knife.

United KingdomHad a washing machine but nowhere to dry clothes after washing. Please provide an airer. Dining and seating areas would be cosy for 6 people. Good for 4 I’d say.
Very nice place to stay. Had most things. Big beds. 3 loos which was very handy - one on each floor. Would return. The location was perfect for access to everything but was quiet in the evenings so we were able to sleep very well. Some items provided for the dishwasher, washer etc which was very helpful. Clearly Margaret the owner has put a lot of thought into making Column Mews feel like a home.

United Kingdombedding needs to be ironed and not just put on beds all creased which makes one question if it is clean and fresh. otherwise everything was fabulous. kitchen well equipped with all you would need for both a short or longer stay. other than bedding the cottage was immaculate and exceptionally clean. would not recommend for anyone with waking problems/disability as sitting room and first bed room on 1st floor. very near to town centre and the castle.
