Everything was perfect: clean, comfortable, a breathtaking view, I could go on for ages. The hot tub was especially popular with our 3-year-old. Robert also came and greeted us when we arrived (early check-in worked out even on short notice). He explained how the hot tub worked and gave amazing recommendations on what to do in the area, which we tried and loved. We are happy to come back in the future.

We had an issue with the plug for the sink but it was a minor inconvenience on an otherwise perfect stay!

The location was beautiful (the views are stunning), the cabin was cozy, snug yet big enough for our needs and we enjoyed every minute staying there. The host, Robert, was friendly, kind and helpful - a brilliant host!

On day one there was a slight smell in the bathroom. I advised Robert and he said the sump had just been emptied and the lid was loose. he sorted it and there was nothing afterward. it wasn’t bad and sorted instantly. definitely not anything to put you off. a glitch by the people that empty the sump.

the property was well located and had everything you needed. I went with my wife for 3 nights midweek and thought the price was more than acceptable based on the location views, facilities and the owners accommodating and attentive approach. On day 1 we arrived and the property was spotless. Robert had already filled the hot tub and lit the fire burner to get it warm. he talked me through all things I needed to know. On day 2 I had a business trip planned and my wife stayed behind whilst I was gone. the night before I asked for an iron which I couldn’t find an iron. I messaged Robert at 10pm he replied advising there was a travel iron to use. on the day I was away I messaged Robert and advised my wife was having issues with emptying the tub. He replied right away and sped up on his quad to empty it. he then started to refill it. I messaged again advising this was done and he went to light the burner. he also showed me how to get a good long lasting fire going and replacement wood was always on hand as well as fire starters and a lighter. once the fire is going you have to occasionally add more wood. As a man (caveman) this was a delight and wasn’t to much hassle. When the tub is hot it is hot so keep an eye on the volume of wood added as once hot you don’t have to tend to it as much. the space overall was very comfortable. I personally thought bed was very comfortable. I get constant complaints from my wife about snoring and the whole time there I didn’t. maybe it’s the air. anyone looking for a get away, quiet time and a great cabin, location and host then don’t hesitate. I am definitely going back.

The cabin had everything we needed and more. The views were beautiful and it was in a fantastic location with towns like Troon and Irvine a short drive away. The hot tub was easy to keep going and Rob was just a message away if you needed any help.

Only thing we would recommend is a jacuzzi/hot tub, it felt like a bath we were in, waiting for the water to heat up in the tub, constantly having to top up burner with logs.

There was a small lack of communication with the host, and still yet to receive a reply back. unfortunately it was to do with the hot tub I’m sure would be ideal in dry location but we lacked of supplies to restart a fire and had to go to garage at 10 pm to get our own lighter etc.

The property advertises itself as a cabin with a hot tub and even mentions sea views somewhere, which I feel is very misleading and not worth the money we paid. The hot tub is just that, a tub that you fill with water, are requires a lot of work if you actually want to use it. When we got there, the host arrived shortly after and explained that the hot tub is not connected to a power source so there's no lights or pumps. He told us it is so that the lights and pumps don't distract us from the views (as if you go blind as soon as there's a bit of water moving around you). In order to get it heated up you need to start a fire in the connected external heater. This was done for us before we arrived on day 1. However, the host informed us that we need to empty the hot tub every day and re-fill it before next use. This took forever and because he never told us how to build a most efficient fire to heat it up as quickly as possible, the first day we waited almost 5 hours for it to heat up to the point where it was warm enough. Finally, even though the property states it can house up to 4 people, the hot tub is only for two people. It is actually very small and awkward to use by more than two people as there's nowhere for the extra people to sit/position themselves. So all in all, you get a "hot tub" in the literal sense - a tub outside filled with warm water - but not in the sense that we expected. We were very disappointed by that, as if we had known what was it actually was and what was involved in the running/maintaining of it we definitely would not have booked this place. And not to mention there's definitely no sea views, despite the fact that it is listed as one of the features on the property page on Booking.com. All you can see from the cabin is just a couple of fields with cows and sheep.

The property was nicely presented and clean. The host came up to explain how to operate things and was available to us if we needed anything during our stay. The views were also nice although nothing special, just a couple of fields with cows and sheep.
