Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

When we finally got in touch, we were told that the phone number was incorrect so the details were sent to a different number. I have since checked my booking account and found that my correct number is in the system, so this was / is definitely an issue with the guest house - another guest was having similar issues to us.

United KingdomThe front door was very sticky and hard to open, we had to ram it to get in. And the door for the ensuite was quite awkward and creaky, not the best when you're trying to be quiet and the other is still asleep.
Everything was nice and cosy, just what we needed for the weekend. Was surprised by the ensuite, thought it was going to be communal, so was happy with that.

United KingdomI’m not sure who the middle to old aged man was who rudely knocked on my car window while I was parked at the property asking what I want. I replied saying I have a booking here and he then rudely said “well not if you don’t have a confirmation key for it” I held my patience and then he further went onto telling me to park better since the space is for 3 cars not one. Albert View has always been good but this owner needs a reality check from someone soon, therefore I will be leaving 1 star.
