We had little problem at the beginning since they gave us a room that is not as per message a lodge and we end up paying more to get a nice room. They gave discount to be fare. I wished we could stop the hot top since it was a little noisy at night. The staff some are friendly and others just doing their job.

The hotel is on busy main road and can be a little noisy at times during the day, although night time was quiet so no problem sleeping.

Spa facilities and fabulous breakfast were stand out pluses for this hotel, together with the staff who were incredibly friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and a spa bath in the room was a real treat at the end of a day's walking if you didn't have time to get down to the main spa facilities. Bed was very firm which meant no back trouble for me during the stay.

Arrived here for an overnight stay with my partner, this was our first time visiting. The hotel is situated in a beautiful area with walking distance to local restaurants & shops. The hotel is beautiful and the staff were so friendly and helpful, breakfast is included in your stay as well as access to the leisure (outdoor jaccuzi pool, indoor pool , sauna, steam & gym). There is a bar located near the reception area perfect for a few drinks, very reasonably priced. Our room had a lovely balcony and a jacuzzi bath tub! I would definitely stay here again. Thank you so much for our relaxing stay

Bedroom was comfortable, but a little on the small side. The bathroom was big (could have had a few more towel hooks).

The members of staff were very attentive, friendly and professional. Breakfast service was wonderful and the choice on offer was amazing - our breakfast was cooked to order and cooked to perfection. Our room, was very comfortable, with a big bathroom. The bar and longe area were cosy and welcoming. The pool and stream room were great to use after a hard day's walking. Great places to eat in Ambleside, but would recommend booking a table in advance.

On arrival there was a small issue with the room however this was dealt with quickly and professionally by the team. A big well done.

Great location, great food, great facilities. Nothing was a bother for any of the staff who were always friendly and helpful. The pool and steam room are very good and were available at short notice, towels are also provided Breakfast was well organised, cooked to order and with plenty of choice. We dined in the restaurant on one occasion and the meal was lovely, again service is very good. The location was spot on for us, ideal for walking, browsing or popping to the lake for a boat ride.

Maybe the breakfast buffet could have been labelled with allergen information. The indoor jacuzzi was quite cold and the outdoor jacuzzi had very slippery surfaces in places.

Not really a dislike, the car park is a little tight but we had no problem

The lounge / bar area was very comfortable, I could sit there and read a book all afternoon. The breakfast was lovely, choice of cooked and buffet.

We stayed in a room outside of the main hotel block, the weather was warm which required us to sleep with the windows open, there was the constant 'drone' of either large extractor fans or air-conditioning units coming from the main block which disturbed our sleep.

Great location for town centre, breakfast was exceptional, staff very friendly, everywhere spotlessly clean, spa / gym / pool very good, rooms and bed were comfortable.
