How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Spiral staircase might not be suitable for everyone especially if they have mobility issues.
Great location for the Excel centre which was just over the road. Jerry was a wonderful host & he kindly left complimentary items - milk, bread, wine, chocolates..etc, cupboards were stock with all the basics. Basically anything we needed could be found in the property! Rooms were a great size and the property was kept clean & to a high standard. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

I like the idea, that the place is really tidy, clean, and that there are plenty of towels, bedding etc provided. Also, parking was sorted for us. After a long journey, it was lovely to see that we did not have to go shopping, as basics are always provided, e.g toilet roll, bread, milk, cheeses, and sweets, biscuits for those of us who have the sweet tooth! etc. It's just ideal. Just what one needs when they go on a trip. No stress either, as the host is always available and accommodating. I had accidently put in that we were arriving at 10am, whereas we did not get there until evening, and that was no problem either. Well done Jerry.

Nothing, all good
Our family of six thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in August this year The apartment is modern and stylish; spaciously set across 2 floors, just as depicted in the pictures. The apartment was very clean,comfortable and had everything that we needed, plus extras. (Chocolates,ice-cream and wine in the fridge were an unexpected but welcome touch!) We particularly liked the large windows and balcony view on to the forecourt which added to the sense of spaciousness. It was great to be able to sometimes just sit and observe all the comings and goings outside from the comfort of the apartment Location was perfect - right next to Excel convention centre making it ideal for our 3 day convention in the centre which we were there to attend. Jerry our host was great.He provided us with all necessary information about the apartment and the area from the outset, and he remained easily contactable throughout our stay at the apartment and afterwards too. Ernest, the building manager was also very helpful and quick to respond to any queries.He met us outside the apartment at the agreed time to hand over the keys and explain features of the apartment. When we had a small issue with the car parking situation he was able to see to it that it got rectified promptly and efficiently. We look forward to our next stay in the apartment Highly recommended apartment!!

There was nothing we did not like.
We booked without breakfast.....but the host left lots of food and drinks in the fridge. Extremely generous.

Our host Jerry was superb! Communication was super easy. All of our family (11 people) really enjoyed the apartment, snacks/drinks that were provided free of charge. We also value good connection with City of London as there is Elizabeth line nearby. If our family ever go to London we will definitely come here again.

Water needs to be heated up, but host explained to us in detail how to do it and after that we had no more problems with that.
Host was amazing, all our questions were instantly answered and he even went way beyond for our comfort.

There was an issue with hot water for shower, but it could be fixed with a bit of waiting. There is a fold down couch in the living room which is medium comfy, main issue with that sleeping spot is that there is a super bright light outside that is not even nearly dimmed by the thin curtains.
We really loved staying at this apartment. It is just next door to London Excel. Thanks to the Elizabeth line which is 3min away it is super easy to get to from the airport and downtown. Jerry is a fantastic host! He provided us with a lot of information. He also stuffed the fridge with drinks and a bit of food, and there was plenty of coffee to make us happy as well. It felt a bit like home to have all of this available.

The apartment was very spacious, clean and super equipped. it was close to the tube (especially the new Elisabeth line which brings you in the city center in 15 minutes). The host, Jerry, was amazing assisting us in everything we asked and solving every requests we had. Highly suggested!

The shower kept switching from hot to cold and we had to call the host to fix it. But he was very quick to come and fix so no problems there
Amazing host! Will most definitely be staying there again. They supplied us with complimentary drinks and food in the fridge. The kitchen was fully stocked up. Free parking. Very responsive host. Great space and location for group bookings. You will not be disappointed with this apartment, definitely will recommend.

The location was spot on and super easy for us as its right next to the ExCel.. it was clean and just a nice place to be.. Jerry is a legend also, couple beers in the fridge and some ice cream, best host by far.

They didn't bother us too much, but the toilet brushes needed replacing (suggest cheaper disposable), the shower head angling was awkward, the heating/hot water was a little bit of a work-around, and one of the couches was a bit light on upholstery. We only mention these as minor observations, overall it was great.
Location was superb: quiet, yet close to amenities, parking, and Excel. Host was extremely helpful, particularly in getting us parked. Very comfortable and spacious.
