Great location off historic street just minutes from harbour. Spacious very well designed and decorated flat. Privacy and car parking space right next to flat. Close proximity to everything Kirkwall has to offer. Very helpful owners. Excellent value.

The apartment had everything we could possibly need. High quality rooms, fixtures and furniture. The location was exceptional! Minutes walk to anything you could possibly require...be that shops, an amazing leisure centre or ferries to other islands to explore. We hope to return one day soon. We genuinely loved it!

There isn't any "view" to speak of, but there were a couple of great take-aways near by.

This place is fantastic! We made a grand tour of Scotland, stayed in 7 different self-catering places, and this was the best. Honestly, I think it's bigger than my entire house. Huge bedrooms with huge beds. Two lovely bathrooms. Large and comfortable common area. Kitchen well equipped. Easy parking. Centrally located, just a few minutes' walk from the Cathedral. And Hazel, the host, was terrific, making sure that we had a wonderful stay. Very helpful to have two sets of keys so that our group could split up and return separately. I cannot stay enough good things about this place.

Location is in a central location, ideal for walking around town. Apartment is best I’ve ever stayed in, everything is supplied that you would want or need. Parking is free and next to the apartment.

It’s not a dislike, more an observation, but I couldn’t find anything to clean up spillages with! Also, nothing to wash up with, which was fine as there is a very good dishwasher but I don’t like putting knives in the dishwasher. I suppose privacy could be an issue as it’s on the ground floor but the area around the block is very secluded so we weren’t bothered.

We really loved this apartment. It was perfectly situated for the town of Kirkwall. Useful shops were close at hand as were restaurants. The place itself was just right. There are three bedrooms, one en-suite, a bathroom and a decent sized living area. We felt safe and secure here. It was also on the ground floor so no stairs to climb. It also has a dedicated parking space. The kitchen was well stocked with crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils.

An iron would have been a bonus, but as the washing machine is a washer/dryer it wasn't absolutely necessary

The location is perfect and the town centre is a three minute walk from the apartment. Shopping is also close by as well as a fuel station. Hazel is really helpful and friendly - we came off the ferry from Lerwick at 23h00 and she had prepared everything perfectly, including a welcome pack which included cheese, biscuits and a bottle of milk in the fridge. We would book this apartment again!

Just one very minor thing. The cooker ventilation unit above the hob to the central island unit has been suspended too low and too far forward such that it is directly at forehead level for a six foot person. We overcame the problem by putting tea towels on the edge of the glass projection but both men in the party still caught their heads on the edge during the stay.

The apartment was well serviced with allocated parking directly adjacent to the entry doors and the location could not be better being only a few meters away from the town Centre of Kirkwall albeit we heard no noise whatsoever during our stay.

Hosts welcomed us with a warm, clean house and complimentary flowers and Prosecco! House was extremely spacious. Great value for money and had up to date facilities.

Location is very handy for all attractions, Lidl, Tesco, tourist info centre, bus station, taxi offices and all bars and restaurants are within easy walking distance. Appartment is well equipped and spotless clean. Very comfortable and a great space for a holiday. Was lovely and warm on arrival, which was great on a cold, dark and windy night.

The only little gripe i have is that we were only there for 4 nights wished it was for a whole lot more.

Everything was tip top ,immaculate from top to bottom and owners John and Hazel welcoming and friendly like all Orcadians .
