Everything in the city and the place is very fantastic.

The location is very good to find and stay the place. Also, it is a safe place if you want to travel alone.

The bed was very lumpy. The hallways had various bags of rubbish, Hoover's etc sitting out throughout our stay. There was no soap in the bathrooms (at least on our floor). The walls are thin and so are the windows.

The guest house is fine for one or two nights stay, ideal for backpacking purposes. The room was clean and not too expensive.

I would have loved a bedside lamp!

Great location, very easy to walk into the city centre. Edinburgh’s best coffee right opposite at Argyle Place cafe! As an older woman travelling alone, I felt very safe & secure here, and very welcome. Highly recommended.

Hostel with private rooms and beds. Shared 2 kitchens and several bathrooms. Don't expect Hot Water, however, they had everything we imagined under the price. Overall satisfaction :)

The water-tap in one of the kitchens was really loud and hard to use; the water-tap in of the bathrooms couldn’t really be turned off

Had a bit of a problem with heat. Room was unheated, which was fine for September but a bit cool. Hot water wasn't always available.

Excellent spot! Great location, and wonderful staff. Nice place with a beautiful patio and garden, and a good place to relax. A short walk across the Meadows from all the sights, and easy to get there and away. Awesome work!

The floors were very squeaky and the beds were very squeaky too, so the quality of my sleep was poor. It’s an old house, so I’m not sure whether floors can be replaced, but I recommend the hostel looks into improving their beds to make sleep more comfortable!

I loved the interiors of the house, it had nice carpet and walls and ceilings! The kitchens were great and had all the utensils I needed to cook meals. The shower and toilet facilities were clean and updated. The garden came with a neighbours cat who I made friends with :) Just overall friendly vibes, a good experience for my first ever hostel stay. Mattresses were also comfy.

check-in is easy to me, because my flight landed very late. reception hours are 10am-7pm, but I successfully take my room key via a email. I had a great stay in Argyle Backpackers.

Because of the Fringe festival, there were no hotel rooms available, so I book a bed in a 8 person mixed dorm. It turned out tha the room was really space and only four people stayed there.

The bunkbeds were very soft and moved a lot. It felt unstable and a bit like being on a boat.

Awfully squeaky, rickety bunk beds that moved and made a lot of noise when either person moved even slightly. Woke me up over and over and over, exhausting.

Cosy, good enough location, practical self check-in for after hours arrival. Comfy duvets and many sockets. Very nice staff. Clean.

Tap in toilet was stiff and hard to turn off. The room had no curtains and shutters didn't cover the window so couldn't have the room dark.

It was easy to check in and although a 20 minute walk from Waverley, it was in a good location near the meadows. I liked the way food left was labelled and you could use it. It was easy to book not long before the dates I wanted

Could not get a warm shower upstairs. One shower was cold, the other randomly changed temp from freezing to boiling. It was noisy on the street - but was festival!!
