Hotel reception has been moved to rear of hotel so place looks closed when you arrive. More signage would help. Car park could do with a tidy up.

No lift. We are a 60 and 70 year old and had to go up 3 flights of stairs. The handrail kept changing sides, too. There was no lighting on the outside of the building or in the car park for when it was dark, and we drove past the place when trying to find it.

From the front of the building it looked derelict. The reception team were friendly but scruffy. Room was tired and carpet stained. Shower needed taps sorting as they leak and make the shower poor pressure. Buffet breakfast cold and unpleasant.

The bed was very comfortable and clean. Bathroom was clean. The freshly cooked breakfast to order was really tasty.

There was dirt and dog drool down the dog friendly room wall. Even though you pay extra for extra cleaning if you use that room, clearly that isn’t used for cleaning.

Room 122 All night had the boiler coming on and it was very load Couldn't get any sleep because of this so I checked out at 8am and went to my lorry for a good sleep

Very dated, stayed here about 4 yrs ago before this recent stay and half of the hotel now looks closed down. The room we stayed in didn’t have and heating, the corridors were warmer than the room. The windows even though double glazed hadn’t been fitted properly so there was a gap around the seals so this was letting the cold in. Can’t do much about noisy neighbours, but walls are thin and doors need to be slammed to close.

Convenient for a nights stay when attending a wedding locally. There’s was tea/coffee, kettle etc. which isn’t fisted in the facilities. TV in room, however couldn’t get quite a few channels due to signal.

The decoration and upkeep of rooms were average. It was a shame that on my second evening, I was woken by a constant ringing of a smoke alarm because of another guest using the shower, obviously with the door open! It is a shame that this hotel seems quite run down. I hope that they can improve standards and keep going. Pillows could have been softer. Also, a desk lamp would have been good.

The bedding was crisp, and the towels clean. Staff were friendly. As all lone traveller, I felt safe. Although the bathroom could have done.with further improvement, the shower was good. Remember to keep the doors closed!

Breakfast staff .dirty floors

The carpets are fithy but the beds were very comfy .there is a snotty women the does the breakfast and you are not aloud extra juice or break stuff and the fry ups are poor .how ever the room was very clean apart from the floors and there were plenty of towels. The staff at reception are lovely but they need to get rid of the women who does the breakfasts !

indeed, the building is old and is in need of some investments, but you get what you pay for, and the ratio is not bad.

Decent quality bedding and towels, good wi-fi, the room was not bad, warm and adequately clean. Mattress soft and relatively comfortable. Value for money. Ample car park. Nice friendly receptionist.

Room was cold, walls and windows where thin so could hear everything, the bed was rock solid, the shower was impossible to work out changing from hot to cold, the location looked abandoned due to refurbishments ongoing at the front, it didn’t feel secure at all, the reception staff where not great, the concierge/private room on the first floor smelt of smoke and was playing music at all hours, we literally just laid our heads down so we didn’t have to travel the long distance home and got out as quick as we could in the morning

The bathroom could have had a proper shower. Shower in a bath is an accident waiting to happen.

A little noisey at night especially Saturdays

Location for us was good, free parking and WiFi breakfast could be better not very hot or much choice. There is a bar available. Needs considerable investment to bring back to its former glory.

Bathroom needed refurbishment. Sealant around Bath especially the taps needed replacing and bath needed replacing. The tv was un watchable due to the aerial not working. Bothe the main one and the indoor one. Room was cold no heating for mid October. My room was supposed to be executive room. Very poor.
