There was a terrible squeaking noice the two nights we were there from the top floor. This was all night. Too long for them bring more toilet paper. Our room’s view was facing a wall outside.

The only tiny quibble I would have - if pressed - is that the view from my room was not great. But that kind of thing doesn't bother me when I'm travelling on business.

The room was not anywhere close to what was expected and shown on booking.com. The room was very outdated and there were French fries under the bed! Room not cleaned well.

Mary in reception was so kind and gracious. Every morning she would provide me with a wonderful cup of coffee.

The room was a good size. Keep in mind this is an older hotel, so the space for the bathroom was limited. The bathroom floor could have been cleaner and some more shelves or storage int he bathroom would be useful. The breakfast was excellent! The staff were kind, accommodating and helpful.

There was some old noisy pipe that you could hear during the day/night which could disrupt your sleep

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very quirky and cosy inside. The rooms and bed were comfortable. The shower was hot and powerful! The place is located centrally and it's easy to get to. We didn't try any food at the hotel though. Would definitely come back to visit

There was a loud noise outside my window for the whole evening. Like a generator or something. Found it hard to get to sleep. Didn’t get breakfast in the morning as the chef took over 30 mins to make it. By which time I had to leave. It set me off in a irritated mood

The only thing I didn’t really like was the fact that the shower and bathroom were all just basically an open area water ran in front of the toilet could cause a slipping hazard. I don’t know that this is the way the bathrooms are set up in all of the rooms from the pictures that I saw, I do not believe that is the case but it was the only thing that I personally didn’t like however would be large enough for wheelchair etc possible put a no slip bath mat in to help with the possible slipping hazard.

This is a beautiful property that has an Air of sophistication located close to the canal in about a 15 minute walk to city Center. The staff was eager to help everything was exceptionally clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Royal room had no fridge. Jacuzzi was rather rundown and had bits falling off of it. The room could do with a refresh.

Thought the breakfast expensive, so didn't bother, found a cafe on the road and had a breakfast for half the price. The WiFi in the room was terrible, it kept 'falling' out all the time.

£185 for a twin room, no breakfast.I was expecting something a little classy but room was more of a hostel feel. Room comprised of a double bed which could do with getting a new mattress, and a sofa bed which was broken and dropped down and squeaked and groaned at every move. Also room was very cramped, a big coffee table took up what floor space there was, may have been fine with sofa bed raised but not whith it down. Bathroom was fine, over bath shower, downside was bath panel was hanging off. Room spoiled what would have been an excelent review

Hotel is in a great location, easy walking to city centre, park, river, castle, easy to get to, no need to drive in through the city. Plenty in onsite parking, nice social outdoor space. Staff were really friendly and approachable.. food isnt alacarte but fills a space very nicely with a good selection, comfy, cosy and weloming social spaces, could quute easily sit at a window seat with a beer waching the world go by.
