The leisure centre is far less fancy than the pictures suggested. We chose it expecting somewhat luxurious experience. Instead, it was a clean and well maintained, but noting more than a small leisure centre. The interior of the room and some places around the hotel leave the impression of decaying luxury from 20-30 years ago. Well maintained, but just yet. During the breakfast, the coffee was disappointing.

Almost everything is good, some areas especially pleasant. Trouble - free ample parking. Really pleasant breakfast except for the coffee.

The only criticism would be that the hot drinks at breakfast were either black coffee or various teas - no hot chocolate or cappuccino. Our dinner in the evening was OK but the curry tasted, in my opinion, like a heated up ready meal and I didn't think it was very good value for money; we only were given one poppadom each and no naan.

Our family room was exceptionally spacious. There was a set of bunks and a sofa bed as well as a large double, with plenty of space to walk around. There was a good selection of hot drink sachets in the room. The breakfast was very good and there was a good choice of continental breakfast as well as the full English. The leisure centre was very clean and pleasant, the pool is not large but has a nice depth and there was a good sauna, steam room and spa. The bar area above the leisure centre is a nice area for a coffee or light bite. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful with any queries.

The air conditioning did not appear to be working as we tried a couple of times but only hot air came out. The room decor was starting to look a little tired.

Our room was quiet (with the balcony door shut) and was a really good size with plenty of room to move around in. The water pressure in the shower was good and had consistent temperature (we didn't use the bath or shower in the bath, just the shower cubicle). The bed was comfortable with good quality linens. When we ordered room service, this arrived promptly and was a good temperature.

It was a bit dark in the restaurant for breakfast. One brighter lamp /bulb would be helpful in the room too. Mission for the next time: a little joke at check-in. Smiles are good.

Great location for relax and daily trips, beautiful garden and views, spacious room and bathroom (Executive double room with patio), free safe parking, free entrance to the swimming pool for hotel guests from 6:30 am. Friendly, welcoming and really helpful staff at breakfast, bar and swimming pool.

The bunk beds were so squeaky! it woke me up every time my daughter turned in bed . The fact that even tho your child swims extremely well,you have to be in the pool,rather than just watch them from a lounger ;the pool is cold and not as large . The place really needs a refresh. Our bath was dirty,I wanted to enjoy a bath before bed but it was so dirty,I gave up the idea and just washed my hair using the shower head …. however ,my daughters had a very good time ,they enjoyed the pool,even tho there are numerous rules displayed,they were allowed to simply have fun and enjoy themselves .

The outside area was lovely . The bar and the fact that there was a little room for children so they can play in proximity to the bar. The bunk beds in the family rooms.

The only comment any of us had was the reception staff welcome - the girl wasn’t necessarily rude, she just couldn’t really be bothered to speak or give us any information, which is basically all we expected from her so we had to ask all the questions…. All of our groups 4 rooms checked in separately and everyone commented on how entirely disengaged she was - same the following day when we needed to go back for a replacement key card….just a bit odd and not what you’d expect from someone in that role…..?

We stayed in 4 Exec rooms in the Pavilion building as a family get together. The main part of our stay that we all enjoyed was how accommodating the staff were and how nothing was an issue. Loved the pool / tennis court / fitness suite access - made so easy to use. The kids games area was a massive hit, as well as the colouring/activity sheet kids menu. And the kids club was great (though we didn’t know about it till our last night). The food was genuinely all excellent and very reasonable which we just hadn’t expected from a hotel. And we liked how the entire menu was available all day, ie the light bites weren’t reserved for lunchtime only etc, because, why should they be :-) Honestly an excellent stay, we were all so pleased and can’t wait to go back again!!

It is a pity that the golf course has closed. The swimming pool was quite small.

I chose a room with a balcony overlooking the grounds. It was very peaceful. I would definately stay again.
