Breakfast was superb and was served to us freshly prepared with excellent service. Our comfy room had plenty of space and was very well appointed. The outdoor pool was fabulous.

Everything here was exceptional! The food, staff, courtesy, attention to detail. They made sure that we were welcomed, comfortable and had everything we need. The grounds were exceptionally well maintained and the SPA, Pool and Hot Tub facilities were all in fantastic form. Will certainly come back here again! Nicola, the Assistant Manager, was extremely helpful, this was a special visit for a very special occasion and she made sure it turned out to be exactly as we wanted it to be. Thanks Again Nicola!

Music was to loud when sat outside would be nice just to take inbthe sound of the wildlife. Noisy 1st thing in morning moving beer barrels 7am not the best wake up call.

For a SLH the breakfast was sub-par. For example, the fresh orange juice was not fresh, the “fruit selection” was two pieces of melon and a sad little piece of pineapple, (although the croissant was absolutely phenomenal) and some of the staff at the restaurant were a bit snooty and unpleasant.

Stunning property. Beautiful rooms - the decor was truly fabulous and everything smelled beautiful and was immaculately clean. Exceptional dinner. Reception staff were lovely and it was a joy to stay there.

Overall the staff were somewhat disorganised, lacking clear management and leadership. This was especially so in the restaurant, where we encountered sloppy service and curt responses from members of the staff. It took ages to get drinks and our food order was muddled. Lots of staff duplicating effort.

The location is fabulous, and the main building, rooms and spa clean and atmospheric. The spa is a strong point given the indoor and outdoor facilities. The food, once delivered, was superb and was the highlight of the stay, especially breakfast. If you are allergic to dog hair, stay away, as all the rooms (including bedrooms) are doggy friendly - a plus and negative!

The spa area was being redecorated so there were painters, ladders, paint everywhere. I was surprised they had not done this in the winter and were not still doing it in April.

The inside of the hotel was beautiful and the staff were amazing - welcoming without being overbearing. I loved the spa area too.

Much thought had obviously gone into the offering at Bishopstrow. Extra touches like fresh milk and water cartons in the fridge, a comfy sofa, luxurious bathrooms and stylish decor - all made the stay very comfortable. Staff very friendly, in a sincere way, not ‘faux friendly’.

Staff are so helpful from the minute you arrive. The room was lovely and clean with a nice note left for my boyfriend as it was his birthday. The spa was great and the hot tub included with the room was lovely to use when we wanted it. The breakfast was also great with good choice of foods. Really recommended this hotel and will definitely be returning again. Thank you

Maybe the price? incentive to return?

Loved the quirky layout of the hotel, decor was lovely. Even though there was building work going on when we stayed it added to the adventurer and didn't have a negative effect.
