Lack of places to hang your clothes or towels ... Bathroom with no shelves near the sink... The shower screen was not water tight ... realised water was on the floor & dried it with the bath mat. The corridor light was visible thru the large gap under the door, which clearly was not fireproof, very annoying light as the bed was quite close, had to put something to block it.

Friendly helpful staff, old building but well maintained overall, with a lift too. For a night, it was ok. Can't comment on the facilities offered, but it felt a good place overall.

Some of the cleaning is poor. Some areas of the room had thick dust and towels were not replaced or left in a location where they could dry properly.

The property provides a good standard of accommodation for regular visitors to the City of Newcastle. The breakfast is very nicely cooked and served in a comfortable bar area. The buzz from the local people using the bar in the evening is welcome and kept at a healthy distance from residents who want a quiet early night. Staff are extremely friendly.

Very noisy but not realise so close to party pub. But finished at 11am Breakfast was not well organised with lack of staff filling up glasses plates and buffet. But plenty of good coffee

There is a bar open to the public no issue with it and it closes at 11pm so it is not open late but the actual music from it is horrendous loud and if you want to eat as a hotel guest the small restaurant is next to this bar no door separating it and you wouldn’t be able to have a meal and chat for the load music 😞 hotel seems to be in 2 halves we had a very tired old room and daughter had a lovely up to date room😔

The hotel is in a lovely area and close to the centre of Newcastle 10mi a on the bus 🤗

Room cleaning had missed emptying rubbish bins but quickly sorted. Not a great choice of breakfast

Been here before whilst visiting daughter at Uni. Jesmond is area where loads of students live so quite lively. Handy location right on ´the strip’

the noise of the vent systems directly outside our rooms was soo noisey. It actually really disturbed my dad’s night sleep. we did mention this to the boy at reception who took note, but didn’t really offer anything. The windows were so thin and paintwork around them in poor condition.

The Tv signal was poor on some of the channels. But even then, it was a massive smart TV, so I'm just nitpicking.

The bed was amazingly comfortable. Brilliant fry up full English breakfast. And really friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again.
