Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNot that I didn't like it because I understood the concern, but I would have loved to be out on the balcony, esp as the westher was so nice.
The location, the amazing breakfast, the staff, the air con in the bedroom. I also like the fact there is a fridge and a lovely coffee maker. I felt extra safe with a door chain on the door. The extra large bed so my grandkids could stay over and not feel so cramped with us all on the same bed. The view from my room was beautiful and lovely to see every morning when I woke up

United KingdomThe air conditioning was a big box by the window and was very noisy. Bring some earplugs for the night.
Great central location. Staff were super helpful. Family Room was a good size with a view of the park. Breakfast was nice. Dinner in the bar lovely. Parking possible for £17 for one night. Hotel stamps the parking ticket and you can leave car park anytime on that checkout day.

United KingdomThe room is stuffy as windows don't open. Aircon too noisy to leave on. NCP parking, we had an issue when leaving due to a problem with the boom not opening for the car ahead of us. Other guests were noisy in the corridor late at night, so we struggled to sleep well.
The check-in staff were very helpful, friendly & welcoming. Great location. Bed very comfortable. Good shower.

United KingdomLooks a bit 'brutalist' from the outside but the interior is a pleasant surprise! The car park stairwell and lifts are a bit smelly but that's no fault of the hotel!
Lovely big, clean room with nice views over the city. Breakfast was great. Staff were all very warm, helpful and polite! Air con in the room worked really well thankfully!

United KingdomRoom was very warm. Unable to open a window and the air con unit was very noisy. Our mattress was too firm and therefore a little uncomfortable, but then everyone is different and this may not be a problem for others.
Fabulous, location. Next to Harvey Nics. Very clean hotel and on the whole friendly staff. Fantastic breakfast, everything you could ever wish for. Bag storage available after check out.

United KingdomYou have to use the NCP car park next door which is expensive. The 24 hour rate is subsidised by the hotel but we weren't able to come and go as the machine kept our ticket. Hotel have offered to reimburse even though it's not their car park.

United KingdomThe only thing that could have been better, is that when I booked it, it said there would be a coffee maker and there wasn’t. That’s my only criticism as I was looking forward to using a fancy coffee maker haha. There was a kettle, though!
The staff were lovely, especially the breakfast staff, and the breakfast was the nicest hotel buffet breakfast I’ve ever had. The cleaners were also so friendly and nice. Loved the late check-out time, too! Gave us time to really enjoy breakfast. Great location, too!

United KingdomWe were told we didn’t book breakfast when we did, it wasn’t on our confirmation so we were told we couldn’t have it. However on booking.com app it said breakfast included so they honoured it in the end, but it was confusing at first and it seemed we had annoyed the staff saying we had paid for breakfast but they didn’t seem to believe us.

United KingdomThe exec lounge of which I paid extra for no longer had breakfast in there and the terrace was closed due to renovation which was disappointing as would have been nice to have breakfast outside as the weather was glorious. The only major issue I had was that at no time did room service replenish milk or remove dirty dishes and our phone didn't work to be able to call reception or anywhere else for that matter. Would have also benefitted having a dresser with mirror in the room rather than having to use extension for hairdryer and straighteners to reach the full length mirror and bathroom only took shavers
Alicia on front desk was amazing chatty smiling and welcoming. The room we booked was a double exec room with fantastic views of the park. Lots of space in the room even though 2 double beds in it. The breakfast was outstanding every morning and all staff were friendly and helpful
