Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

FranceCheck in was not handled well. Although it is possible to leave luggage if you arrive early, they charge 30 pounds to check-in before 15:00, with the result that at 15:00 there is a long queue of disgruntled people waiting to check in. In every hotel I have stayed in, if they have a room ready they allow you to check in early, which allows for a better flow of clients as well as building up goodwill. This put a damper on our stay, it seemed as though they were more interested in the money than in pleasing clients. The room was large but oddly arranged, with no nightstand or chair for sitting in, although there was plenty of room for both.
The room was clean and the bed comfortable, and the location was very close to the Underground and buses. Our room faced a small courtyard in the rear and was quiet.

FranceNot really hotel. More R BnB style. No breakfast. Check in not in same place at the rooms. Feels like a hotel for backpacker or R BnB type of people. Traditional hotel customers might be disappointed. Rooms with 5 beds next to each other : looks like a dorm. Tiny Bathroom with even tinier shower.
Good Location in an ok neighbourhood. BUS and MTR (MRT / Subway / Tube) Lines are just a walk away. Convenient.

IrelandThe microfiber cloth provided for drying dishes was wet and scrunched into a ball when we arrived. The floor was a bit sticky and not nice on bare feet.
The staff was very helpful. The location is close to 2 different tube stations, multiple restaurants and grocery stores, as well as walking distance to Hyde Park and the museum's on its Southern side. The kitchenette was well stocked.

SpainVery good. Location is a extra ---> 100 meters to Hyde Park. Underground: Queensway station (24h) Bayswatch station. Both so close, no more than 150 meters. There are a lot of shops, markets ... at Queensway street. MSK Elite street (Inverness terrace) is so quiet. The room is as you see: bathroom, bed zone and little kitchen, for us (2) very good.
