Bar very busy for drinks/meals etc at peak times, there is separate dining room residents can use but you still need to order at the bar.

Location was excellent with great parking onsite. We booked the apartment and it was so big. So much space for family with older teens to have our own space. We had great views of the fells and the lake. Super location for so many walks. Very friendly attentive breakfast staff and good breakfast choices.

Our room had a beautiful lake and mountain view but was quite small. I’d stay again in a heartbeat, but would try to book a larger room.

Beautiful, historic location in a remote valley by a lake. Proximity to walking trails. Excellent staff - friendly and responsive. Comfortable bed. Very good breakfasts. Convivial vibe among guests due to shared interests in scenery, nature and walking/hiking.

Staff were all very friendly and attentive. Special shout out to the young barman (the Bolton Fan - im rubbish with names) very personable and excellent customer service. The apartment room was fantastic, and the views from the double bedroom 😍. It's the second time I've stayed here and wont be the last.

Being able to open the skylight in the bathroom would be great but not a problem!

The property is located in a stunning setting between Buttermere and Crummock Water. It is ideal for the numerous walks in the area, a short drive to Keswick and the other surrounding lakes. The bar area is very comfortable with a great atmosphere. The bar staff are super friendly as well as the breakfast team and those on reception. The food was all delicious and very reasonably priced. My dog Walt was also very well accommodated for.
