Double parking system meant we were blocked in but staff helped us straight away. We were actually in building over the road to the main hotel

Good location, happy to help staff, good value for money, room was small but had everything you need, modern style bathroom and comfy beds, fridge was also decent size

Unfortunately didn't get the room I paid for when arrived, had a much smaller room even though they took the money for the bigger room which became unavailable apparently when I arrived. Wasn't impressed

The walls between rooms are very thin, so you could hear everything going on, which was a nuisance when the people next door came back at 3:45am and had conversations and kept opening and closing doors. It was also extremely hot, even though we kept our window open all the time, and radiators off. It was only March, so can't imagine what it will be like in summer.

Very close to where our daughter is living while in uni. Had available parking, which was convenient. Staff were very friendly.

Hotel bar ran out of John Smith's beer on first day. Takes 3 days to restock? Room a strange shape, have to climb over bed to get to shower. TV would benefit from being on a swivel. Shower extractor fan on constantly. Hotel kitchen extractor fan blowing till after 11pm. In fairness hotel does offer free ear plugs. No lift. Paintwork needs a refresh.

Good secure CCTV parking Central location Friendly and helpful staff Comfy bed Good ensuite shower room Thanks

Not a great entrance from the back where you park - back of kitchen, rubbish bins and lots of smokers BUT once inside perfectly ok.

Friendly staff, small comfortable bedroom but nicely decorated with great shower, great location and parking! Lovely cafes, restaurants and shops nearby.

The radiator in the bathroom was ridiculously hot & could not be turned off. With it being so very close to the sink my partner & I did burn ourselves several times. There was a slight stain on one of the bathroom towels we were provided with, but easily avoided and surely would have been replaced if necessary.

The staff are very friendly, negotiable & attentive. The room given was very cosy, clean & comfortable. Although the location of the hotel has a very lively nightlife, there were no disturbances whatsoever.

The parking arrangements aren't the best due to limited space you basically have to be blocked in if you didn't plan on going back out on the day you get there which is a little restricting and we wanted to get and go early but unfortunately couldn't as we were blocked in a didn't want to disturb the guest that had blocked us in as they're there to relax too so we were hanging around for a couple of hours before asking the staff to contact them. The only other downside I found was the walls are quite thin and you can hear a lot of noise if you're a light sleeper then maybe this isn't the best for you. It's lively outside on the street up until 11pm and then the bars close so again if you want an early night it may be hard for you and them guests were walking down the corridor talking at the top of their voices and showing a severe lack of respect but I soon put a stop to that confronting them for their inconsiderate behaviour. It's clearly a common problem as there is a sign in the room saying ear plugs available on request. Other than that it was a lovely stay and I would certainly stay again in the future.

Staff were friendly and helpful gave us a warm greeting and explained everything we needed to know. The Superior room we had was spacious and very comfortable and clean.

Nothing that would keep us from choosing Cairn next time we're in Newcastle.

Room was exactly what we expected as the photos are very accurate. It was a bit chilly at first until we figured out how to use the heater. Other than that clean and comfortable. Light switches and outlets for our chargers are usefully placed near each nightstand. The smart Samsung TV was a highlight since we had galaxy devices and we streamed directly to the TV. Shower was spacious and functional with warm water always available and it felt clean. Location was really good for us. The hotel is under 10 minutes from the nearest Metro station (West Jesmond) and 2-3 very short stops from the centre (Monument or Haymarket). Near the hotel there's a Pharmacy, a Tesco Express and a Sainsbury's Local (small Supermarkers) and various coffee places and restaurants all within a 10-minute walk. Breakfast wasn't out of this world but it was good for 10£. The buffet included couple of fruits like apples and mandarins, a few baked goods that felt very fresh like croissants and pain au chocolat as well as English breakfast options of sausages, bacon, baked tomatoes and mushrooms. There was also a toaster for bread (and there was butter, margarine and marmalade).

We were in room 504 and whilst the room was lovely, it was absolutely sweltering, even with the window open during the afternoon/evening and with the fan on over night. No radiators were on but myself and my other half barely slept due to the excessive heat in the room. We also couldn't leave the window open whilst we tried to sleep with the noise from the bar downstairs and surrounding areas. I also have MS which heat heavily impacts and woke up in alot of pain this morning due to the temperatures in the room.

Parking on site. Friendly welcoming. Room was clean.
