Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere was nothing I really didn't like, but I did find the stairs very steep. The back yard is quite small and is accessible by other houses in the row, but if you're only staying for a few days, it's not a problem, and the doors into the yard are easily secured. The house is situated on quite a busy road, which can be a bit noisy, but again, not too much of an issue if only staying for a few days. Sleeps 4 people but lounge seating is be more suitable for 2-3 people. Bathroom is downstairs through the kitchen, which, again for a short stay isn't a major problem.
Lovely little property, nicely done out, very clean and comfortable, good size bedrooms and good WiFi with easy QR code setup. Jo did everything to make us feel welcome and communication was great. Everything we needed was provided (bedding, towels, information pack, shower products etc), AND fresh milk and bananas! Loved the code/fob entry system, very easy to use whilst being very secure. The house is situated just a 5 minute bus ride from the city centre, with a bus stop just a few yards away in either direction. There are shops to purchase food and groceries very close by. I especially loved the glow in the dark tape above the stair handrail, very handy indeed! Great to have free parking right outside the house over the weekend, although I believe there are some restrictions during the week. Super appreciated was the fact that Jo offered us a later checkout on the Sunday at no additional cost. I would definitely recommend this property, and hope to have the opportunity to return!

United KingdomThe only thing I can say is that the stairs were quite steep so might not be suitable for people with mobility problems.
The house was immaculate and well presented. The decor and furnishings were elegant. The kitchen was well fitted out as was the bathroom. There were thoughtful touches from the owner like milk in the fridge, fruit and shower gel and bubble bath. There was also a torch in each bedroom. The beds were really comfortable. We were visiting Nottingham to see James Blunt at the Motorpoint Arena which was walking distance. The property was well situated for the city centre. Communication from the owner, Jo was very good with clear instructions on how to access the property using a code. We also liked the fact that there were 2 fobs available to open the door. We would definitely stay again.

United KingdomThe hosts were so helpful and being able to park out front without any bother or problems was a massive up! The beds you could have fit 4 people in each they were so massive and like sleeping on a massive marshmallow. All the TV's had netflix so once breakfast was made we could all chill out and watch some TV. Not even a 10 min walk to town it was a very nice place to stay

United KingdomNothing! For some people staying in the summer months, I can imagine they'd want a nice outdoor space to enjoy. I'm sure with the loving restoration of this property, the garden area is next on the list and I can't wait to see it!
Wow! The finish of the property was exceptional. It was a charming restored property with a '2 up 2 down' feel but the finishes were fabulous! The flooring, the size of the beds, the quality of the windows (so you could barely hear any traffic even in the front room), the amenities in the kitchen AND that tea/ coffee / sugar and milk are all provided was such a lovely touch. The icing on the cake for me was the parking permit. I'd looked at other properties around the same price but then when you add on parking, it was so much more expensive. Opposite a great Lidl (and Falcon which is great for Asian/ African foods). It was perfect for me as my step daughter lives half a mile away and the main city centre isn't far. Thank you for everything, will definitely be back!

United KingdomOnly concern was the lack of full body mirrors in the home. There was a very slim one in the bathroom but no where else in the home. Can’t fault it other than that
Our own choice of milk on arrival and a booklet detailing how to use everything in the home. the place also felt more like a cosy home than like a posh hotel which made it even better, lots of products like cleaning, pots/pans in the home that allows you to live in the property comfortably.

United KingdomWe found it hard to open the backdoors for some air - some instructions could be helpful but might have just been us being incompetent.
Lovely and very clean property. Great value for money and an excellent bath. I entered the door code in wrong multiple times and set off the alarm (dyslexia) and they responded immediately to help me enter the property. Couldn't have asked for better hosts. They also got us oat milk for our coffee which was a lovely touch.

United KingdomSteep stairs. It's not unmanageable but if you suffer with mobility issues or vertigo. Take the stairs easy or go up and down on hands, knees and bottom. I've stayed in properties like this before. Its not a deal breaker. My mother and myself took caution. My partner who has mobility issues didn't and had me on tenter hooks.
Great location to local shops, supermarkets, park, city farm, arena and town centre, (all walking distance). A lovely homely feel. Good kitchen appliances. Jo is lovely and great with contact. There were complimentary bananas, which was thoughtful after a long journey. Beds are dreamy. For a main road property it was fairly quiet in regards traffic. As well as being a quiet neighbourhood.

United KingdomWe had trouble with the automatic light system - bathroom light kept turning off when in there! Front step very high - had to be very careful, not good for anyone with movement or sight issues. Bedroom curtains not black backed, so when the sun came up shortly after 4am, it woke us up.
Fresh and clean and well equipped - really appreciated the nice touch of milk, tea, coffee etc being provided. Access via the ekey very quick & easy.

United KingdomAs is to be expected with properties of this type (an older terraced house), the staircase is rather steep to the first floor and the bathroom is on the ground floor, which wasn't ideal with young children (and would not be great for those with mobility issues); however this did not detract from a great stay.
Lovely clean property, very comfortably furnished and in an excellent location for access to the city centre. Entry to the property was very convenient via a pin code, so no need to mess about with keys, and all communications with the hosts was quick and easy. Would be happy to stay again.
