Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomA minor thing but it's one of those places which nails the soap/shampoo etc. to the wall, which is fine for the basin and shower, but means they're unreachable in the bath!
Excellent place in a great location, spacious comfortable room, big bathroom, delicious breakfast, really good value for the location. Highly recommend.

Breakfast was generally good although quality of the bacon was poor and kitchen had run out of mushrooms! Location was excellent for the wedding we were attending.

United KingdomThe room was far too hot even with the aircon on full blast! We also had an issue of another room calling our room and waking us at 5am. We did alert reception in the morning who were very apologetic.

The stay was really amazing, from coming in with all the bags to keep before checking, earlier check-in time, help on the stay, breakfast to the last day bag keeping. We were really sad to leave, because staff was really amazing - offered amazing support when I had health issues, calling hospital, arranging cab - thank you again!! The room was really great: clean, comfortable, had all amenities we needed, if something we needed - quickly got from the housekeeping. Coffee machine in the room - one more plus. Breakfast catered to perfection - even to my gluten free needs. Happy that we chose this hotel, it made our stay in London way better. Oh and the atmosphere in bar got that old school feeling, realy adds to all experience.

United KingdomService in restaurant was poor both for dinner and break fast - as a regular visitor I hope this is a one off as normally the service is top notch!! Dinner - poor customer service - Having finished my meal and waited for some 15 mins - Waiter removed plates from table without speaking I had to call him back to request whether I could see the sweet menu, order a coffee etc Breakfast - Poor service - no one available to meet on arrival , sat waiting and gave up before finding a waitress to place my order. On leaving was intending to discuss with reception however they were on their phone

United KingdomThe bar closes a little early for a bank holiday but it didn't spoil our stay.
The team at the hotel were great, well informed and ready to help. Check in prior to arrival was a really good idea, loved the no nonsense check in. We were celebrating an anniversary, the team had decorated the room and left a voucher for a drink in the bar. It was a pleasant surprise. Having real milk instead of milk pods for a hot drink was a nice gesture as was the products available for use. The room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast was by order instead of a buffet style. The food was great.
