How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

We had a slight issue with the hot water but we should have read the instructions correctly before running a bath.
A beautiful space with everything you could need. Very clean and atmospheric. Milk, tea, coffee and hot chocolate provided. Nice little box of toys for the kiddos too which was a lovely touch. Super comfy beds, not sure how anybody could be cold with fluffy bedspreads too!

The tiny window didn't have a blind in the mezzanine, and I think they may be plug in air fresheners that light up blue when plugged in created a lot of extra light. Just a small thing and personal to me, I am well aware it doesn't bother everyone (like the rest of my party) good to know if you like to pack an eye mask though ;)
Beautiful place. Sound system/speakers installed, WiFi. Great space to entertain. Very clean. Comfy beds. Mini bath bombs for each guest. Tea, coffee, sugar, individual chocolates and ice in the freezer was a bonus! The place is so lovely with the sauna and then fairy lights it feels like you've ventured much further than the outskirts of Cambridge.

The only negative was in the upstairs bedroom it needed blinds on the window as a neon light shines through the window, also could do with blinds on the velux windows to make the room dark

We stayed here with family over Christmas and it was cozy, festive and welcoming with plenty of room to relax. Perfect for a seasonal break. Buddy was also an excellent host - helpful and responsive. Would highly recommend booking this property.

Slight chill in the living room but nothing major.

The place was spacious and beautiful! Came here for a weekend to visit my brother in Cambridge and very happy with the stay Sauna room was quite nice as well. A little hard to find it at the beginning but it all worked out. The host was super nice and helpful!

The log cabin was super comfortable and very clean. It was spacious and thoughtfully furnished. Great to have good wifi and an extra large TV. The sauna really rounded it all off. Buddy the host was very welcoming. To be recommended. Thank you!

There wasn't anything that we didn't like
Such a amazing stay feel so relaxed after and the staff are great and helpful if u need anything it's suitable for children our son had a amazing time and the sauna is amazing and so relaxing and was very clean and the beds are so comfortable even the sofa bed would highly recommend will definitely be booking here next time I come to visit my sister again thank u so much for our stay

Clean and spacious conversion that features a fantastic infrared sauna, perfect for relaxing and a good get-away from the city. The cabin sits amongst the owners home and some larger buildings just a 5-min walk from the bus station.

Nothing really. Just quite a distance from Cambridge town, so you’ll need a car to stay here to move around.

As its a wooden structure a fan might be a good addition as it was a bit warm

Stylish and modern building next to a lovely old house and garden. Very convenient location near the guided bus route to Cambridge. Huge TV, comfy sofa and sauna, plus well equipped kitchen.
