Room was very comfortable and the staff very friendly. It was very busy at breakfast, but I had the early sitting, which was fine. The choice was excellent and the staff very helpful.

The blinds in the bathroom we put a sheet up at the window we were told you can't see in but while coming back from a meal you could see the people in the room next to us through the blinds. Not very private while in bathroom. But didn't spoil our stay.

The fridge in the room was making some noise (I should have unplugged it), and the room could do without the wardrobe, which took up much space, and we didn't use it anyway.

Lovely traditional family hotel. Located on the outskirt of Chester, very quick drive to the Cheshire Oaks, Chester Zoo, and the city centre. Facilities are a bit old, but still okay to use. Breakfast was great.

Builders were working on apartment 2 doors from us so noise from 8.30 until 4.30. No hash brown with breakfast. Mould stain on sheets Most Rooms are not in the actual hotel

The most notable issue was the size of my room, which was quite small. This limited space made it challenging to comfortably manage my belongings. There was a distinct lack of storage options, such as a coat hanger or sufficient space to place my items. This made the room feel cramped and somewhat inconvenient, especially after a long day of travel. It’s unclear if this is an issue in all rooms, but it was certainly a drawback in my experience. Addressing this could significantly enhance the comfort and practicality of the rooms.

The cleanliness was great, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic environment. The pillows and mattress were comfortable, which is crucial when travelling. The view from my window was great, offering a pleasant scene to wake up. the staff were friendly and welcoming, contributing greatly to the cosy atmosphere of the hotel.

We turned up at 8am for early start only beans out intray & they were cold when rest. Bacon / sausage came out , then we had to wait for eggs , but by then we had ate our sausage etc , so seemed a little bit disorganised, but staff were very pleasant & food excellent , perhaps if we knew the way they did things we would have waited for egg & then put rest on plate

Lovely little place to stay if you're visiting Chester for a weekend. Laura was lovely and steered us right on the travel options and best restaurants to visit in the immediate area when we checked in. Location-wise it's actually over the bridge in Hoole, but only about a 15-20min walk to city centre with regular bus service if you don't fancy the walk. Room was suitably equipped with ensuite bathroom, tea & coffee facilities, free wifi, USB charging points in the wall sockets for your phone (not every hotel thinks of this, so nice to see them). Bed was uber-comfy too, it was a struggle to find the impetus to get up out of it in the morning! Breakfast was lovely... a range of full English or continental or cereal options, fresh juice, coffee, tea, etc. Would happily go back here next time we're in the area.

The room had amenities such as a kettle, microwave however, there wasn’t any room to utilise these items. We had to eat out every night, otherwise we might have stayed in and ordered a takeaway. But this wouldn’t put me off returning, as there are so many options for dining out.

The breakfast was fantastic, and the staff were very friendly.

What didn't I like - had to force myself to eat the complimentary crisps, biscuits, chocolate and have a hot chocolate night cap whilst watching a movie on the large tv. Nothing else.

Very friendly staff from when I arrived to check out. The room was clean and tidy and nice you h having biscuits, hot chocolate and chocolate on the pillow. The breakfast staff were very busy but still took time to greet me, show me to my table and take my drinks order. Plenty of food hot and cold. I did not have time for eggs with my breakfast as they were cooked to order but that's my fault as I had to leave at a certain time. Parking was easy.

The room, while being very comfortable was a bit on the small side, however as I was on my own this was not a major issue.

The room was very clean and quiet and I found it very comfortable and well lit, with a kettle,fridge and hair dryer included. The hotel is very conveniently placed within walking distance of local shops and other amenities and is also within walking distance of Chester city centre. I also enjoyed the Buffet style breakfast. The staff were very courteous and helpfull There is a reasonable amount of car parking and the carpark at the adjacent Chester House may also be used if all bays at the Chester Court are occupied.

Only complaint would be that the towel rail didn’t work due to problems with the radiators. But, new towels provided to compensate.

Spacious room, with all the amenities that you would expect from a top end hotel. The owner Ray greeted us on arrival, which although early he sorted a room out. Felt welcomed and made t9 feel really comfortable. Breakfast was very good and service was excellent.

Minor detail but maybe a new toaster as it didn't work very well .

The little extras, chocolates, on arrival. Crisps, water replaced hot chocolate sachets replenished every day. Eggs cooked fresh not kept hot good selection of breakfast items cold an hot.
