Made to feel special. Staff exceptional. Breakfast was wonderful. The room was clean and opulent. We smiled through our whole stay. My parents had their wedding reception here in 1963, so it was very emotional as they are no longer with us. Thank you.

I can’t fault anything about the hotel.

You are in the city centre and the staff are friendly and helpful. You have a taste of luxury whilst you are staying there. We also had our rooms upgraded which was a lovely surprise.

Room 344 was large and very comfortable however the continuous hum/rumble of I assume airconditioning unit intruded on the quiet. I turned off the room air conditioning but it made no difference.

Perfectly placed in the centre of Chester, the staff were friendly and informed with everything running like clockwork. A very pleasant place to stay. Car parking @ £10 for 24hrs was good and a walk straight into the hotel from level 2 kept us out of the weather.

Scuffs on the wall in our room and the kettle wouldn’t go off automatically when boiled so that’s a bit of an issue and no white sugar in the pot just brown but that’s nothing big, we stayed in the Cavandish suite

i knew THE GROSVENOR well many years ago but had not stayed there for many a year. Now having stayed overnight twice I compliment The Grosvenor that its' standard of service overall - staff / rooms/ general comfort and friendliness with courtesy not found so much these days in hotels was a joy to return to. I will be staying with you for one night stays on a very regular basis during my visits to Chester, Thank you it's good to know that such excellence (may I call it 'old fashionned') is still available.

It's a good quality hotel in one of our favourite cities. Nothing to complain about at all.

This is a lovely 5* hotel in the centre of beautiful Chester. We try and visit once a year and this time it was for just one night. The service is top notch. We walked from the car park and our bags were whisked away while we checked in and soon appeared in our room. The room itself was a good size as was the bathroom. There are nice touches like hand (home) made shortbread on the tea tray and fresh milk in the mini bar. The Continental breakfast is good quality if a little limited but you can purchase a cooked option from the menu if that is your preference. We will be back again soon!

Breakfast wasn’t great. We were told we’d get a plate of pastries which never arrived and also mixing fruit juice. Could also do with some comfy seats in lobby to save taking up space in the bar.

Some of the finishing touches in the room were not as high quality, some paintwork a bit shabby the lamp didn't work bathroom ceiling poorly finished. Just minor things really

The staff are outstanding cam not do enough for you from start to finish very friendly and welcoming. This is a high end hotel and they welcome people from all walks of life. We will definitely return
