The mess up with check in and the jacuzzi not working and no mention of that on the web site when we booked

Paid for breakfast. When we went down in the morning our room was not on the list, the lady in the restaurant was very reluctant to let us in to eat made us feel like we were not welcome. Food wasn't the best once we did eat.

Hotel in a central location, having the pool is great, although opening times/restrictions regarding children should be more immediately avaliable when booking. Plenty of tea/coffee in the room, was slightly cold in the night with no option for heat on the heating/air con system.

Considering the price having to pay to park is a rip off. More and more hotels are now charging extra for what should be included. Unlikely to use again for that reason.

We had problems with our key cards and had to keep getting them reset and we only left the room about 3 times!

Ideal location for the Chester half marathon and the 12:00 checkout gave me time for a shower after the race.

we had info sheet saying breakfast was until half 10 we got there and it had stopped at half 9, so my friend and I had to have lunch and what we paid for are food compared to what we got was not very satisfying at all, 8.50 for a small wrap and crisps for side, going back to the bedroom the bed was comfortable but the pillows were awfully hard

free access to pool, very relaxing and fit well with in the price of the hotel. staff were very helpful and friendly made the experience better, the bed room was excellent size and nice and clean the bed were comfortable. I personally loved the little accessories like the slippers in a wrapper case and the gowns very comfortable to wear and relax in after a swim or bath/shower

The car park is very limited in comparison to the number of hotel rooms.

Friendly staff. Spacious, clean room that had everything we needed. Great location. Loved the use of the gym and steam room included in the price

The staff were quite rude on reception, especially about parking assuming I wasn't disabled and not asking me the question. But telling me only disabled spaces could be saved. I had to inform her I was disabled in which she went to speak to a manager. The staff member returned and said on this occasion if we can we will save you a space like she was doing me a favour when intact they do that for disabled guests with a blue badge

Body lotion in bathroom was not replenished when empty. That was all really.

The breakfast had a good array of options but some parts weren’t the best - eg pastries were a bit stale both days. Overall we had a great stay though

The room got very hot during the night. We think the heating was still on as were the thick duvets but we think that was mainly because it was the first really hot day we've had this year.

The hotel is beautiful and very clean. All staff that we encountered were lovely and very helpful. The restaurant at the hotel is very nice and the food tasted amazing. There was so much to choose from at breakfast. Cereal, pastries, English breakfast, fruit, toast and a machine to make American style pancakes. They also offer cook to order choices too.
