How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Nothing really would have been nice with an fridge in the room
Clean and modern. Everything you need for a short stay. Want to praise Farah being service minded and professional when helping me with check in. I came a little early in the morning (before normal check in time) and she found a room that was ready so I could check in early.

The hotel was beautiful, ideally situated and very clean. Excellent staff, and especially Karen front of house staff who was so helpful and lovely.

The self check-in computers take more time and effort than going to the reception desk; everyone I saw using them needed staff assistance which defeats the purpose. They also had the details about my stay wrong, although the details were correct when I went to the reception desk. And despite there being 3 lifts they never seem to be working efficiently and take a long time to come.
Nice clean hotel in a good location. I have stayed here many times and it's always good.

The noise from the gay village the music was way too loud and didn’t stop until 4am.
Very clean and modern, beautiful table full of flowers in reception, staff friendly and professional, good selection of food and drinks for breakfast, excellent amenities in room.

Nothing really obviously wouldn’t want to start paying over the top for this accommodation however overall very good.
The location is very central and has always been clean and just what you need to feel comfortable.

Aircon would go off after a while and it was warm for 3 people due to being a hot weekend. The street can be noisy at night.
We arrived early and were able to check in straight away. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel main lobby is stunning! Rooms were great and spacious enough. Location was central to EVERYTHING so this was let for us. We were on the 11th floor with rooms next door to each other which was perfect.

The room didn't seem to be checked over to endure everything worked. TV was switched off. Safe fix not have all the batteries to ensure it worked. Dining room breakfast - dirty mugs placed on clean shelf still had lipstick marks, residue in the bottom. Not 1 or 2 but a mass. Refills were very slow at times. Housekeeping was sloppy. Floors not mopped bathroom counter not wiped just again attention to detail.
Breakfast was good but attention to small details need addressing. Room was great spacious and very comfortable again it is attention to details that need addressing

Rooms can be very warm at night, and you could only turn down temp to 19 degrees, the lowest

There was nothing to complain about, the hotel and price were great, would stay there again and will recommend it to others.

Room wasn't hundred percent clean. Stains on carpets, dusty sideboard and rubbish left in the wardrobe from previous customers.
The area is central to the gay village, prime location to experience the nightlife Manchester has to offer. Room are luxury, large double bed, desk and chair, shower and toiletries. The fact that this hotel does room service is outstanding.

One little thing we mentioned on check out, our room had very poor lighting in the bedroom plus the 2 bedside lights weren’t working. Otherwise all perfect.
Spotlessly clean room and public areas. Very efficient check in and check out. Very friendly and lovely staff. Brilliant location and great breakfast.
