How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

No towels provided in the bathroom and bedroom had no natural light. The room would benefit from some maintenance, plaster cracked and flaking on the ceiling
For the price the room was a good size and checking in was easy. There was free WiFi for my son which is always a bonus.

Room Dirty, Hoovered around walkable areas leaving the edges of the room dirty. Shower dirty and around the base in and outside cleanliness very poor, but at least the toilet was clean.3/10 Dirty walls and damaged furniture, rooms need clearing by real cleaners not just a quick once over 1/10 Garden looked terrible and overgrown, totally not what the pictures show, unusable garden extremely misleading photos on website, I wouldn't let anybody sit in the garden let alone look at it, Avoid. Overall 1/10 for garden 0/10 for overall open space outside
Just Room only, no Breakfast. Staff were amazing and were very helpful. 9/10 Very close to shops and restaurants no food in hotel. 8/ Clean sheets and pillows. 10/10 Parking is great as its out the front of the building 5/10

A part of the vertical shades was missing, letting light in, early in the morning. One of the wardrobe doors was broken/defective. Shower mat didn't look clean. Both shower and sink drain very slow. Mold on the wall behind the toilet.
Parking in front, with security cameras. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Convenient location.

Hotel tired. Could do with some renovations. Shower area tiling needed TLC. Shower needed updating to a more efficient one together with shower enclosure. But having said that, the price was very cheap and hotel served a purpose for a 2 night stay.
Good value for money if you want a cheap, basic place to stay overnight. No breakfast as expected. Towels provided, no cosmetics/soaps etc. Plenty of tea/coffee/milk provided in the room with a kettle and TV. Cafes/pubs in walking distance for breakfast/dinner. Parking outside hotel, although can get full but street opposite available for parking next to supermarket.

My main issue is that guests are asked to leave their room key with reception when exiting. While this is a good idea in principle, I left my key with the disinterested chap sitting eating behind the reception desk to go to the shop over the road, and when I got back he wasn't there and my key was still on the side. Anyone could have gotten in to my room, and as my laptop was in there along with my car keys, I decided against leaving my key next time.
The room was very basic, but was great for it's price and proximity to Nottingham city centre. As others have commented, the decor was quite tired - marks and dints on the walls, carpet, and a chunk missing from the wardrobe - however the bed was comfortable and made for a good night's sleep.

Our room was at the front of the hotel and it was very noisy. Walls are very thin and you can hear noise from the corridor/other rooms. Toilet stank of cigarette.
