How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

I asked the front desk to order a taxi for me and she said she'd call me a taxi and to take a seat. I did so and a few people walked in after me. After about 15-20 minutes, she asked me if I was still waiting for a taxi, and I said yes. She called them again and then let me know how sorry she was because she flat-out forgot to call. It's not a big deal because I wasn't in a rush, but it was a bit annoying. Mistakes happen, I get it so no harm no foul. She was lovely and admitted to the mistake so it's all good.
The dining and bar was exceptionally great and service was phenomenal. The fish & chips was excellant. The body gel, shampoo, and conditioner were great.

There is a bird scarer of a seagull in distress which is a little bit annoying rather that than an aircraft coming down.
The breakfast was excellent. Staff were helpful, location was excellent. Transport wise you have car pick ups located at the airport and you now also have the rail network. This gives access to Inverness and other places.

Very comfortable and clean and right next to airport for early flight. Was really impressed with this airport hotel. Spacious rooms and friendly staff.

Clean modern hotel room with comfortable bed, nice bathroom, and plenty big enough. Walk to the airport. King size bed, which was wonderful. Scotland has a lot of wee beds!! Friendly staff who were helpful and cheerful.

Very pleased with the cleanliness and comfort of this hotel. Very quiet. Also pleased that they provided several gluten free options on their dinner menu. It was very nice to eat a safe meal. Staff was helpful and friendly.

The music in the dining area / Bar was grating. I know we all have different tastes in music but this was really bad!

Front door was a little difficult to find.
Great location by the airport with easy access for our flight the next morning. Dinner was really great, did not have breakfast as our flight was leaving early. Staff was friendly and made our final night in Scotland great.

Great facilities and all the staff were wonderful. Dinner and the continental breakfast were excellent. Looks like a very new hotel and it’s location is brilliant, can literally walk to it from the terminal building. Room was clean and good spec, bathroom was fab.

No room service. I was feeling ill and would definitely have used room service had it been available
Excellent location, literally a 2 minute walk to the airport and right beside the rental car return area. Free parking for overnight guests. Quick check in and lifts to upstairs rooms. Good sized bedroom, plenty of hot water, tea & coffee in room and super comfy bed. Restaurant food was excellent
