Parking is limited and if full outside the hotel then the overflow is 50 yards away in an unlit area. The main areas of the hotel are very nice but our room (17) although large (the bed is huge, had high quality bedding and we had a great sleep) and spotlessly clean, it does require a bit of attention. Nothing dramatic but needs a bit of general maintenance. Cannot comment on any of the other rooms which may be excellent. We would still stay again but would request another room.

The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and both were excellent. The dining room is lovely and a very pleasant space to dine in and the quality of the food and service was excellent.

Size of the TV and the poor signal at times, cracked sink in the toilet rusty radiator, decor was dated and a fridge just sitting on the floor. Balcony with one seat.

Breakfast was chaotic - staff were late, continental choices were nowhere to be seen. Not open early enough for my husband who was in business. Tea cups in room too small. Mugs might be better.

Dinner was nice in the front conservatory. Cooked omelette at breakfast was excellent.

My room was very cold in the first night , heating wasn’t working ; however the manager on duty went out of their way to fix the issue and this was resolved very quickly . Despite heating the large bathroom was cold.

Parking not easy. I called and asked and was told no problem with parking. Very few spaces outside and up the lane. Small roads all have restrictions or residents only.

Stains on carpet in room 5. Stains on ceiling and by the window sill. Needs coat of paint in some areas. Location of room is noisy because of the passageway door - suggest they remove it. Insufficient toiletries in the bathroom. Mattress needs replacement.

Are room was a bit small for the price we paid, looking at other rooms seems we possibly had one of the smallest rooms staying here for 4 nights , shower door didn’t close properly and once exiting the shower bathroom floor had puddles

The very inaccurate Ireland - 6 Nations flag in the Snug bar. TV in bedroom was too small, with limited channels.

No sign of recent investment, with some of the room features now getting tired - chipped sink in bathroom, old fashioned electric heaters, tired carpets in the hallways. One hopes the new owners will make the investments necessary to keep the Cults hotel at the expected standards, because overall it is a nice place to stay. On the last morning coming down to breakfast, we (as a family) were initially blanked by the male receptionist. When it came to paying the bill however, all smiles were on show. Such incidents risk souring an otherwise pleasant stay.

Most of the staff are excellent. Good breakfast. Rooms created to a high standard. Access with push chair reasonable owing to lift.

Unfortunately, the service was rather slow. It wasnt very busy, so do not know what it would be like if busy! Fortunate to get parked in front of the hotel, as wouldn't fancy parking in the other area...
