How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The breakfast. There was a failure with hot water one morning, so all of us had a cold shower - but these things can happen.

We tried to get a drink at the main circle bar over the course of three nights (of the 7 days we stayed), but the bartenders kept refusing to serve us while sitting at the bar. One of the nights, they told us service is at tables only despite other patrons served at bar; but sitting at the table for 30mins and no-one would approach us. We went to the side bar that is hidden from front lobby after each of those three occasions and were served there. There was a drain issue from the shower in the bathroom that flooded the floor, but they did fix it on the third day after we explained we had a bathroom with no tub made for disabled people with the alarm pull strings.
The location is perfect walking distance to most things we did in London. Saw a play, went to lots of museums, walked to Piccadilly, China town, Tower of London, and many others all within walking distance!

Not much to fault except the fold up bed my son slept in was really lumpy and after a very long day in London every day quite hard to sleep in comfortably. Also the strip that holds the carpet down by the bathroom I think is wearing a little thin because the sharp spikes hurt your feet if you step over the threshold.
The location was perfect, bedrooms completely quiet and dark! The main beds were very comfortable with decent pillows. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was good and with the hotel guest discount not too badly priced for that part of London. The breakfast was brilliant and the live music and all the football in the bar was a nice bonus. We really enjoyed our stay.

Being woken up by a fire alarm during the middle of the night, what happened by the way? Also, I noticed that the lights of our room were always on when we came back at the end of the day. I think it would be good for the cleaning ladies to switch off the lights after cleaning as it is a waste of energy.

TV kept going into standby. Room service ended at 10 even though its advertised later Fire evacuation would have been nice to have had some communication or free drink as goodwill.gesture for the false alarm whilst waiting to get back to room with all the queues

The shower was rubbish, probably the most stupid system I've seen. The breakfast room was very noisy and the coffee machines kept malfunctioning
The location was brilliant, and breakfast as well. Staff were super nice and helpful. Enjoyed the opportunity of live music in the evenings, unfortunately missed the Sunday drag brunch, it looked fun.

The reception area, was very welcoming with a great bar & music, just a great vibe, the bands that played were just fab, to have this facility in the hotel, just brilliant, as Sunday evenings in not a lot is going on, so it made the end to a great weekend trip ✔️

Great experience starting from checking in with Vatsal, who was very helpful explaining everything. For a hotel that has a huge number of rooms, the breakfast very well organised and we didn't have to wait at all. The location is very close to Hyde Park and Buckingham palace. Sightseeing buses run close to the venue. Heaps of restaurants and shopping around.

Service charge added on at the bar for simply making a drink.
The decor - modern and quirky. Staff very attentive and friendly. Comfy bed and great room size for London. Great location, right by Marble Arch tube station, top end of Oxford Street and plenty of amenities surrounding the hotel. Easy to get a taxi to go further afield.

Shower is stuck to the wall and no shower cap was available. This meant it was also difficult to wash a toddler.
