Breakfast was awesome, Dinner was awesome too. I like that you eat together so you can chat with other occupants. There's a nice lounge area and a nice area to sit outside. I really like that the rooms are 6 beds and not like 12+ like some Hostels. Location is great, super convenient bus route, nice pub in the village.

The hostel is very nice, good facilities and have enough facilities in the kitchen for you to cook. Clean and comfortable stay. Nice location, quite and chill. It’s a good place to stay away from the city and get close to nature

Good facilities, clean and tidy throughout. Well equipped kitchen and a lovely dining/lounge area to sit in. Andy was on reception when we arrived and was incredibly helpful in talking us through the best routes for Scafell Pike and best places to start from. Thank you Andy!

It was sooooo hot in the dorm room and the window barely opens. The bunk beds could be more solid! Be aware there’s no parking onsite, you’ll need to park at the national trust car park which was a problem for me.

The operating hours are a bit problematic. You won't find anyone from 10 am to 5 pm in the building.

It was an amazing stay. Charlie the caretaker was a very nice lady. The rooms were super clean. The dorms were beautiful. The bathrooms were super clean and tidy as well. You can also cook your own meal in the self catering kitchen.

Loved absolutely everything about this hostel, staff were kind and friendly and helpful, room was clean and comfortable, shower was fantastic well needed after a day in the hills, bike shed out the back to keep the bike secure is brilliant, food in the morning was filling and delicious, felt like fantastic value for money will 100% be staying again as soon as I can,

Only thing was only 1 shower so had to pick your timing.

The location and how helpful the people were. It was the nicest hotel I've stayed in. Loved 😍 it. Some amazing walks nearby.
