It’s a beautiful house, in a central location ideal for getting out and about, but secluded enough to feel in the country. The hosts couldn’t have been more welcoming, and helpful. The food was great, with local produce that you could tell was quality and fresh. We had a lovely time and would come back time and time again.

Everything was good.

We only booked for one night, but I have to say this place was exceptional. It's an impressive castellated building, full of charm and beautifully furnished. The owners Stewart and Susan were very welcoming, and we were well looked after. We had the Himalayan room which was very comfortable and quiet, with a spacious bathroom. The cooked breakfast was delicious, they obviously take great pride in their cooking. Overall a great experience that I would be happy to repeat if we are in the area again.

It is a little difficult to find and some of the roads are very narrow.

It is in a beautiful location with lots of parking. The room was large clean and comfortable with lots of room for a long weekend or a longer stay. Susan and Stewart are the best hosts and have lots of ideas for trips and restaurants though they do offer dinners on most evenings.

There wasn't really anything to not like. If I had to make an observation (definitely not a complaint) it would be that there seems to be a little problem with damp, this was only visually apparent in the corner of the outside wall but it was behind a wardrobe. The room was cosy and warm and didn't smell damp, if we hadn't have seen it, we would never have known it was there.

Susan and Stewart were a helpful and friendly couple and it was a pleasure to stay in their guest house. We stayed in the Hemingway room which was lovely. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was big, and it was lovely to have a bath to soak in with a glass of something; there was plenty of hot water. We liked the décor, and also the personal touches. The location was amazing, so quiet, and the pillows were nice, I am very fussy with pillows, I brought my own with me, but didn't need to use it at all 😉. We had an evening meal on the day we arrived, and the the food was delicious as was the local beer and cider that we ordered. We also loved the little honesty bar, and found the prices of the drinks to be reasonable. Breakfasts were amazing, so much food and a good amount of choice. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

This property was absolutely beautiful. The country views were lovely, the house was gorgeous and the rooms couldn't have been more comfortable. Plus our host provided a wonderful breakfast and was extremely helpful in finding a place for dinner that night.

Beautiful property and grounds. Breakfast was incredible - had to have some of the Welsh cakes for our trip home! Bedroom and bathroom was absolutely fabulous and loved that the rooms are named after the owners travels!
