Another fabulous stay at this hotel. Our room was upgraded which was a lovely surprise. Our bedroom and bathroom were stunning. We loved the ice water and cake every day. The breakfast was delicious, with lots of choice. The staff were all very helpful, friendly and professional. We will be back!!!

Location was great and very close to everything we wanted to visit. The hotel is beautiful and our stay has been perfect. Forest Side is the best hotel we have ever stayed in and I would love to visit again. The staff are friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. I felt so relaxed and at home at the hotel. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful grounds. We saw two deers walking in the gardens outside while eating our breakfast. The rooms have lots of little touches from luxury toiletries to a cake of the day provided for us to enjoy. I would highly recommend to everyone .

The room wasn't as advertised. We thought we were getting a free standing bath tub and a large room with windows facing the garden. While we were facing the garden, the windows were small and the room was oddly shaped with a weird annex, not at all as the photos. The bathroom also did not have a free standing bath tub. Just felt a bit like we didn't get what we paid for.

The location is wonderful. A short, pretty walk to the village of Grasmere. The bed was huge and comfortable. Really loved breakfast too.

The breakfast was exceptional plenty of choice, cooked really well and served with style. our room was of a very high standard, this was shown in the fixtures and fittings, along with the comfort of the high class linens and bedding. right through to the luxury bath products.

The location is stunning and the staff were so lovely throughout our stay. Beautiful Bramley products in the bathroom and reception. Had the best night sleep after a long drive. Delicious breakfast in bed.

Only 2 very minor niggles which did not detract from the stay - we stayed in Spruce and there is an extremely 'squeaky' floor board which could really annoy. Also the loo roll holder was totally out of keeping with the room and was not very functional -

A great hotel with good service. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was very good. We only stayed one night (Tuesday) so did not get to experience the evening meal. We would stay again

Great location. Extremely professional staff. Beautiful rooms, finished to a really high standard with a fab range of toiletries etc. Fresh cakes, iced water, fresh milk in rooms on arrival. Great breakfast. Beautiful setting/garden great for spotting red squirrels. Lovely bar area.

Restaurant was incredible - Michelin star genius cooking! We had a deluxe/master room and it was beautiful - simple decor, luxurious, lovely views, great bathroom. Relaxing stay with awesome food. Would highly recommend.

Was surprised there wasn’t a safe and refrigerator. Didn’t mind the safe so much but would’ve been great to have a fridge to keep my baby’s food in. However, staff were very accommodating so I’m sure they would’ve dealt with this if I asked.

I think more could be done with the terrace seating area possibly more comfortable seating. I know this is a high end hotel but the drink prices are a bit over the top.

A beautiful hotel. The room we had was the basic room and it was spectacular, beautifully finished and spacious. The staff were faultless. We had a lovely breakfast. Just a shame we could only stay for one night.

Liked all of it.

Firstly the look of the hotel, it’s surroundings the gothic feel. The hotel oozes class. Relaxing in the bar area on an evening , the furniture so comfy. Like being in a Agatha Christie novel. The food delicious the cheese n chive scone I recommend. Stayed in room rose. The view out the window in bed is better than a painting.

The view from our room window was the courtyard. We would have preferred the garden or similar. It was a shame that the restaurant was not serving evening meals- only bar meals. However we fully understand under the present circumstances.

Breakfast was excellent. Staff were a credit to the hotel. Location was good even though a little difficult to see from the road.
