Good clean hotel

The room was a decent size although needed a bit of attention, especially in the bathroom but that doesn't take away from your stay. Definitely need better pillows as they were very uncomfortable, wifi was good. Although we didn't have meals here the restaurant looked extremely busy at meal times. If mobility is an issue its about a 10min walk from main town centre.

Our room had a fantastic sea view, the room was basic but clean, had everything you needed for a short stay. The gentleman on reception was very polite and welcoming, having a car park was a great bonus. The old fashioned lift was fabulous but only worked if previous user remembered to close both gates. Overall, the room was great for our short stay but if your not looking for luxury this hotel may not be for you. We would definitely stay again but next time we would bring my own pillows. Ideal if going to Venue Cymru as right next door. Very decent price for a Saturday night with a sea view

Was only able to open one window, and the room was very warm, even with the radiator turned off.

Not enough information or told about the notice board or WiFi password. Landed late morning, wasn't giving the option of booking an evening meal. Which we found out we could have done in time. Was disappointed.

The only thing that spoilt it was the cold shower the next morning. I tried always and everything to get the water hot, but without success. It was a very quick shower. Apart from that, all was great 👍

Room was extremely warm couldn't seem to adjust this, it was warm even with window open bit much for me but probably ok for others. Meals- if you wanted food in the hotel you had to book a day in advance for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was at one specific time only, but there was lots of places to eat outside of hotel.

Good location. Very helpful lovely staff. Comfortable clean room - had a double for single use with sea view where sea was right in front of hotel across small road and promenade. Could see all of the bay.

It was a little bit noisy in the evening with the entertainment from below, but that was understandable as there was a coach party staying, and it was quiet by 10.30

Just at breakfast time we sat huddled together with other people who stayed there. We're there was plenty of empty tables in the room.

We weren't told how to arrange for breakfast when we checked in and we had thought breakfast was included in the price which was our mistake. When asking for breakfast in the morning, not realising our mistake, the waitress was quite annoyed with us and abrupt saying we hadn't paid, and even though there were plenty of available tables we were told we had to book by 9pm the day before so we couldn't pay there and then for it. I understand they need to know numbers in advance, it's just a shame none of this was advised at check in or any information about this was in rooms. The mountain view room was actually a view of car parks, buildings and scaffolding. At the car park, our car was blocked in at check out time as the hotel was busy but resolved by staff. Needed to use about 6 milk sachets before any change in colour of our hot drink in our room so got very fiddly and the sachets ran out quickly.

Brilliant location, very pleasant and comfortable rooms. The single sea view room was very cute with a beautiful view of the bay. Car park was very handy and staff were very helpful when we were blocked in, arranging the moving of vehicles and even maneuvering our car out for us. On arrival, we were also allowed to park the car there earlier in the morning before our check in time. Had traditional charm with Victorian lift but didn't feel dated. Cannot comment on food as we didn't eat there.

One of the rooms had a strong smell which didn't go even with the window left open most of the day. Hardly any parking. Breakfast a bit small for £8.50 and no buffet to choose the cereals. The restaurant wasn't full yet felt rushed by the waitresses who kept wanting to clear the table. Showers either boiling hot or cold but not staying at the same temperature. Very small bar with no local beers. No bath in any of our 3 rooms.

Great location and sea views and nice breakfast. Nice handbags in reception area. Friendly receptionist. Loved the Victorian lift.
