We loved how informative and friendly Julie and Mikael were. Very knowledgeable about what's on / local events and attractions. We loved the room , how clean it was and everything you could possibly want , was provided. Not just a kettle, but a coffee machine with pods! Also a fridge with milk and water bottles provided. Ensuite shower room lovely and clean with shower gel/ body wash and conditioner and on the washbasin there was hand soap and hand lotion. Every attention to detail! Wonderful!!

There was absolutely nothing not to like

Our hosts Mikael and Julie were friendly and welcoming, they took the trouble to give us local recommendations and directions and everything in the room was absolutely perfect. Lovely views from the window too, and a comfortable and absolutely beautiful residents lounge. Level access from the parking and patio area at the rear. So many thoughtful touches as I am sure every other guest has already mentioned, they even left a card wishing us a happy Anniversary! Fresh water in the fridge every day, milk biscuits tea and coffee were provided, fresh towels etc, nothing was too much trouble and it felt like we were saying goodbye to old friends by the time we left.

The front of the property, as with every property in the street, is accessed by a flight of steep steps. If you approach from the rear of the property, (where the car park is), this is at street level. A small detail, but if you have issues with steps it maybe important to note.

Julie and Mikael were superb hosts, very friendly and helpful. Our room (Seahorse) was located on the ground floor, it had recently been refurbished and was very modern and well proportioned, with a comfortable bed, seating area in the bay window, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Even some earplugs for the early morning seagulls, (which we never heard). The location is on a main road a short walk out of the town centre, towards the North Bay, the rear of the property has views of the sea.

All of it, there was nothing not to like. Great welcome when we arrived, always kept in contact with us, nothing to much trouble. A warm and friendly place, beautiful room, clean and lovely decor. Great value for money, thank you Julie & Mikael for making my birthday weekend into a wonderful memory, and we will definitely be back.

Slight noise from the hotel room next door but only heard them in the morning when children had woken but as I say only a slight noise and it definitely wouldn't put me off staying at the Glenholme in the future

A very warm welcome on arrival and the location was excellent, the property itself was so clean and very warm and stylish and my room (single) was very comfy and relaxing , there is a coffee machine and milk is also provided in the room fridge. I would not hesitate staying again when visiting my sister in Scarborough

Nothing to dislike.

The hosts Julie & Mikael were fantastic. They made us so welcome and nothing was any trouble for them. The room was spotlessly clean and the little extras they provided like fresh milk and water in the fridge, Nescafe Dolce Gusto machine with pods aswell as kettle and tea bags, wine glasses and tumblers were so thoughtful. We will definitely return.

Was nothing to dislike

Just had a lovely 2 night stay at this lovely guest house. The rooms are spotlessly clean. Bed was super comfy. Had 2 of the best nights sleep while staying in a hotel. Julie & Mikael have put so much thought & love into making it a lovely guest house. The little touches of a coffee machine & fridge with fresh milk in it really make it an enjoyable stay. I 100% recommended staying here to anyone. We will definitely be back

Glenholme was wonderful to stay at. Mikeal and Julie were so friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was clean and tidy, the bed was comfy and there was a pint of fresh milk in the fridge for a proper brew. The location was 5 minute walk from the town centre and right next to the North bay. I couldn't fault anything, will definitely be back

Very little not to like - the bed was nice and big and the room was spotlessly clean and nicely furnished - our only issue was that we found the bed a little soft but we are used to a firmer bed at home.
