My only fault, and this may be documented somewhere, and it had no effect on our stay, was there were very limited cooking things, pans and oven trays. Like I said, we managed around this. Only half of the jets worked in the hot tub, and one of them wouldn’t turn off at all. Again this wasn’t a problem, this is more so to highlight they didn’t work correctly when we first turned it on.

The property was lovely, nice and clean looked well looked after.

Didn’t see the information about a £200 deposit and a few others were saying the same in the line for check in so wasn’t just us that didn’t read that bit, and also JJs didn’t state on their website that they are card only we only had cash which was a bit frustrating but apart from that everything was fantastic

The hot tub wasn’t private from anybody and top was really hard to get off to then no where to put it . Only downfall as hot tub was lovely once in and no back doormat .

There were plenty of helpful instructions on how to use the hot tub but as we'd not used a hot tub before we worried when the 'bubbles' wouldn't turn off - after a phone call to reception the lady explained that the light bubbles kept going to help circulate the water, she did laugh but so did we, she'd probably had the call before.

Myself (56) and my daughter (28) went for a chilled break. For a number of years, I've tried to find a quiet location for a chilled/quiet break, finally, I found this location, each area was like a small cul-de-sac so you didn't have passing cars all the time. The lodge was so comfortable, with plenty of room and a great place to chill. We used it as a base too, just 30 mins drive from York and approx 60 mins from Yorkshire Wildlife Park. Once we got to grips with the hot tub this was amazing, the only thing was others being able to see us, but to be honest, only a couple of others went past and there is possibly something in the rules about not being able to put up additional fencing or a privacy screen. We would definitely recommend these lodges and are considering returning next year.

I thought the living and bedroom were missed soft lighting. The harsh white lights was not conducive for a relax moment in front of the TV. Apart from this everything was perfect.

The lodge was very cozy and comfortable. The hot tub was perfect. The ensuite toilet in the master bedroom was a pleasant surprise. This is perfect for a quick getaway.

Only downside was the hot tub wasn’t hot enough on the second night, was still pleasant but would have been better if it was the same temperature as the first night.

The only one possible downside was there was minor damage in our lodge upon arrival however it was very clean modern and gorgeous. i reported the damage to reception and providing we get our full deposit back there won't be any issues other than that it was great

it was almost perfect except for tiny things... the outside parasol umbrella needs sorting and there were no plastic glasses for use around the hot tub.. apart from that.. all good!
