How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Only my silly error with number. Not their fault but think description shd really say , this is a set of very nice, serviced rooms.
Really it is just a set of serviced rooms. I misread the door number, then my phone died and despite our Uber stopping outside, it took us 30 mins to find! Mainly cause I thought it was no 14 and not no11 and no11 does not say, 'Goodwin St Hotel '. Luckily I had sent the intricate instructions for self-entry to my husband. However, once inside and all numbers for entry box and key box etc. led us to keys, and then our room, we were pleasantly surprised. The room seemed brand new and bed v comfie. Ensuite shower great, too. Really pleased and dog allowed. I have already recommended it to friends.

What I appreciated most about the facility was its excellent value for money, convenient location near the underground station and bus stop, and the wonderful gesture of the receptionist lending us an umbrella. It made our stay even more enjoyable and hassle-free.

Were loads of keys - which was a bit of a pain. Could have had a coffee machine in the room just to make it great

The only problem in this accomodation was the bathroom situation. I did not get at the time of booking that the bathroom will be at the end of the corridor, that you will have to carry your keys everytime you need to get there and that you risk an encounter with your neighbour as well. (so get dressed properly !)
the room was very clean and fairly quiet. the bed was comfortable and you have a hair dryer and a mirror in the room/.. You also have a fridge and a kettle. Check in and out process was very easy. Just few yards from finsbury park station. Has an elevator.

The curtains didn’t cut off the natural light at all, meaning we were awake as soon as the sun rises. That was really a problem for us. Even at night, we had the lights from the street bothering us…
Beds were really comfortable and furnitures were of good quality. The room and bathroom were clean and nicely decorated. Location was perfect : 1min from the subway station (which then deserves the city center within approx. 10min), with plenty of choice around for the breakfast.

Fridge in the room was a bit loud but nothing that would not let you sleep

Only negative was the cleaning staff.. they tried to come into our room before 11am (our check out time) so I told them we wouldn’t be too long and then not long after they started knocking on the door so I opened the door whilst we were putting our shoes on and they came into the room whilst we were still in the room gathering our bags. We just felt very rushed and our privacy intruded.
Lovely room very comfortable and modern which I loved! Also nice quiet area which was a plus, tv came with Netflix and YouTube which was great. Definitely will be back again this year!

There is a bit of humidity and this influences the smell of the room. Also, the white curtains make it hard for you to get a bit more sleep in the morning.
You basically get out of the building and you’ve arrived at the metro station. Overall, the place is nice.

Difficult to locate property initially as over a property agents and not signed very well. The shower was not great, a hose designed for washing hair over the bath placed on the wall at a higher level, it was not high enough and kept falling down.
Very clean room. Excellent super helpful and friendly staff. Super value. Right next to finsbury underground. Nice little shopping area with cafes adjacent.

Location was great, very close to train station. The appartment was clean and comfortable as well as warm. Nice bathroom and balcony; only thing missing were a coulple of chairs to sit outside. Good places to eat in the evening and coffee places for breakfast Instructions for check-in/out were easy to follow.
