Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI appreciate that the building is old though well looked after there was an issue in getting up the stairs. No lifts. For elderly people or with walking difficulties be mindful. The housekeeping was not as we would have expected a few large cobwebs on the ceiling, the remnants of a broken glass on the floor.(not broken by ourselves)and bed not made.
The location above the town and beach was excellent. Plenty of parking though that became an issue from Friday due to the influx of guests arriving for the festival in town. The morning breakfast was excellent.

United KingdomThe property was up a steep hill which I wasn’t aware of when I booked, lack of planning on my part. I have a very bad back and the location of the hotel caused me quite a lot of pain.
The property was lovely, mostly clean and comfortable. In a beautiful location with superb views. One of my children loves spam on his breakfast but this wasn’t on the menu, however the chef went out of his way to obtain, cook and add it to my son’s breakfast. It’s the little things.

United KingdomThe thermostat in shower was difficult to regulate and so I opted for a cold shower to be safe also the water pressure was low.
Good choice and as a vegetarian I felt full vegetarian breakfast was good and comparable to the full English in variety and value for money.

United KingdomThis is only our view but could not turn the radiator off in the bedroom at night, don't like sleeping in a hot room, but you can open the window. The parking is not very good but it seems to be like this all over Llandudno once you have parked stay parked is a good tip if you can.
The full Welsh breakfast was excellent so much and it came out hot and you could also have cereal and toast as well. The hotel is dog friendly, not that we have a dog and we didn't hear any. Dogs are not allowed in the dinning room there is a separate place for people with them.

United KingdomThe walk up the very steep hill to get to it but the name kind of tells you about that anyway. There is parking for a few cars and on the road outside but I suspect in high season it might be an issue.
Beautiful building, interior is dated but I rather liked that and we were lucky enough to have a great view across the whole town.Breakfast was really good and plentiful.Having an afternoon drink on the little veranda at the front over looking the whole area was a real bonus.

United KingdomWe left sign out on door to have room service on 2nd day while we were out. On returning after 2pm, the room hadn't been cleaned or towels changed.
We decided to upgrade to a room with a sea view & shower over bath rather than original booking of room with garden view & walk-in shower. As the room was still available but not yet cleaned, Katy kindly let us view before making decision. Which cist an extra £30 but worth the upgrade.

United KingdomWe could have done with a king size bed rather than a double but we know to ask next time.
A nice quirky hotel with lots of character. The place is very clean, if a bit dated, but that adds to the charm. We were fortunate enough to have a room with a terrace which we made use of. The breakfast was delicious and substantial. The place is dog friendly. We really enjoyed our stay and would go again.
