This B&B is perfection. The owners are both lovely helpful hosts who welcome you (and your dog) with warmth and kindness. The room was heaven! Comfy beds, spacey, nice interior, everything seems very new and neat. Instead of the widespread instant coffee sticks you‘re provided with a capsule machine and a nice selection of coffees and even hot chocolate. In the wee fridge you’ll find fresh milk, furthermore still and sparkling water, all in refillable glass bottles. Sustainability continues with the breakfast where marmelade is served in crystal bowls and so on. Talking about the breakfast, you can help yourself with fresh fruit, cereals and yoghurts and additionally choose between several hot options, it’s rich and absolutely delicious, accompanied by a tastfully set table where even the silverware is beautiful. Beautiful is also the sight over Dornoch and the sea. It’s just perfect. We will recommend this place to our best friends and come back for sure.

Nothing! We loved it!

Very friendly and welcoming hosts, who couldn't do enough for us. Gave us lots of tips and suggestions for places to visit and restaurants to eat at. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, fresh fruit, juices etc as well as freshly cooked items. Lovely room, clean, comfortable, and luxurious. Superb house, loved meeting the dogs and chickens! By the time we checked out, it felt like we'd been visiting friends.

Dee and Nigel are the perfect hosts. They were so friendly, helpful and attentive. The house was exceptionally clean and tidy. The room and bathroom were just as good. Plus the fact that we had a beautiful view over the Dornoch firth. The breakfast was definitely the best we had during our 10 days in Scotland. Fresh eggs from the hens. Everything was perfect. Dee and Nigel definitely desererve the awards they have received. Lovely dogs too!

There is nothing to dislike!

Heartseed House is a fabulous place to stay. Dee and Nigel are the perfect hosts, warm, friendly and helpful, and they create a very relaxed and homely atmosphere. The rooms are quiet, spacious, warm and beautifully clean, with the most comfortable bed you will ever sleep on! The bedrooms and the light, open dining room all look out over wonderful views of countryside and the Dornoch Firth, so it's easy to spend a lot of time gazing. There is a great choice at breakfast, which is freshly cooked and served on china, with a white tablecloth, and there is plenty of it, to set you up for the day. An excellent place to stay in the Dornoch area.

Everything was perfect as the very friendly hosts made us feel well looked after during our stay. There was absolutely nothing to dislike about the whole experience as our hosts ensured a top class experience.

The breakfast was high quality with a wide menu choice. The breakfast room had a great view and was very conducive to an enjoyable start to the day. The menu choices were served exactly as requested and the hosts were exceptional in making us feel welcome. Indeed they went the extra mile (n a very natural manner) in making our stay such a memorable experience and would definitely stay there again with such wonderful hosts.

This was an amazing B&B with every possible home comfort. Dee & Nigel were excellent hosts and their house is just fantastic. Beautiful views over the Dornoch Firth. Really looking forward to a return visit later in the year.

Nothing to dislike

Hosts were above and beyond expectations. So friendly, kind and informative. The breakfasts were amazing and so filling. The bedroom had everything one could ask for, a comfortable bed, own television and coffee and tea making facilities. I cannot rate the whole stay highly enough.

The breakfast was A+, top quality ingredients, eggs from Dee and Nigel's own hens, all professionally presented. Room had everything required, including wi-fi and an excellent view over landscape towards the sea.

It is located outside Dornoch and a car is needed to get there. But well worth it for the view alone.

The hosts are most welcoming and the facilities are excellent from the guest lounge where you can watch the chickens (fresh eggs!) to the linen tablecloth and napkins on the breakfast table. I have stayed in boutique hotels that were less comfortable. The bed was super comfy and the shower had immediate hot water at a high pressure. The view from our room was amazing. Loved the little touches like a bag of locally made sweeties in our room and fresh fruit and coconut at breakfast. Heartseed is a great place to stay.

Amazing B&B in a great location for exploring North east coast of Scotland. Nigel and Dee are really friendly, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic with a great choice. Little pack for dogs and sweets in room with water/tissues a nice added touch. The view from conservatory and bedrooms also amazing!
