Stunning location, huge amount of space in Granary Cottage and outside, felt safe, secluded and relaxed. The property was clean, well appointed and had everything we needed for our stay. Owners friendly and available but also let us have our space. I would highly recommend and would certainly return.

The cottage setting was beautiful and close to all areas of interest for our family. Both cottages had a homely feel with plenty of space to enjoy both inside and out. The cottages were well-equipped and clean. All generations had a fabulous time.

Loved everything

Very cosy, much larger than expected. All the amenities we needed plus more. Owners were very pleasant and attentive without being too intrusive. The large outdoor area was great for the kids and woyld be amazingduring the summer months. We made use of the games available to borrow. Kids loved playing with Bailey the dog. Christmas lights and decorations added to the festive feel. We visited the Polar Express, Woodsman Inn and Big Sheep Little Cow whilst here, everything was within about 10 minutes drive.

The cottage was too warm. We had to turn the heaters off a few times. Not greatly equipped e.g. no pizza cutter or dish washing sponges, very small wine glasses. Minor things really though!

Very cosy and comfortable and beautifully decorated for Christmas. Beautiful location, lots for kids to do. Friendly owners.

The bedding smelt amazing, I loved the facilities with walking the dogs and accommodated my daughter with a highchair, there were loads of board games to play and was very comfy and clean

Zero faults. Unless you were hoping to hand feed unicorns or dragons.

Warm and cosy on arrival. Host friendly and helpful. Lounge had luxury sofa and chair. Simple and modest. Well equipped kitchen. Lovely courtyard. Parking felt safe and secure. Location excellent. Road side signposting was helpful in both directions. A genuinely friendly and hospitable place to stay.

Close to a US air base which the wife didn't like much but I thought was great watching the jets fly pass.

The cottage was amazing and the owner so helpful and nice. The duck roaming around freely was lovely and so were the fresh eggs in the morning. Free to borrow games and dvds was a lovely touch.

great location, comfortable and well equipped. Lovely outdoor area for dog walking. we had such a relaxing break and will definitely return. Our 8 year old even got to feed the ducks , and our pup loved Bailey. Very welcoming hosts .

It was an amazing little place . Spotless and well equipped. So much detail has gone into making it a fabulous little cottage.Free washing machine and tumble dryer and an extensive lending library with everything thing you could possibly need from dvds to wheelchairs and walking sticks to slow cooker

There was nothing we didn't like. Not one little thing. All good.

It was very cosy and comfortable. Everything you need is in the property. It was a lovely relaxing environment. I have stayed in a lot of self catering properties but this one was one of the best. Brilliant value for money. Very clean and homely. A lot of thought has gone into the facilities and the comfort of the property. I could not fault it. Great location. There was an informative manual in the property explaining how the heating worked....how the cooker worked....what was in the local area.etc etc ....they also left you a number for their landi line and mobile in case you had any issues....which we didn't. They have chickens and ducks and fresh duck eggs and hen eggs even bantom eggs are available easily for you to purchase. So we had fresh eggs for breakfast every morning. Do yourself a favour and book this place. We loved it and will definitely book again as we go to bedale often to visit family. This was just down the road from our family. We like oiurown space so this was just perfect. If you have small children there is even a fairy trail !!! 😆
