Outstanding B &B Spotlessly clean & quirky. Very comfortable bed/room. Beautifully presented tasty Yorkshire breakfast. Owners couldn't have been nicer people. Went out of their way to make our stay for my Birthday extra special. Warm & very helpful people. We had a fabulous stay. & Would definitely recommend & revisit .

Wish we had been able to stay a further day or two

I ordered full English on the first day, the breakfast was amazing delicious sausages and eggs cooked to perfection On the 2nd day I had avocados on toast, just wish I could source avocados like those. My husband was so impressed with the breakfast too on the first day he had to order it again.

We liked everything about High Tor

Good situation near to centre of town. Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean. Lovely breakfast with lots of choice and flexibility. Little extras in the room made us feel very welcome. Great recommendations from John the host re places to eat. Highly recommend this b&b 😊

This place is lovely the location is great … parking on the street with a card given to us by the guest house. The high tor is quirky !! Beautifully decorated … warm and clean with everything you might need. Love love love this place. The breakfasts were absolutely fantastic

Struggling to come up with anything significant, my only personal problem was I prefer a flatter pillow 🤷‍♂️

The style and decor of the property was exceptional, the hosts were extremely friendly and although I didn’t have a problem with anything I can imagine that if need be nothing would be too much to ask.The breakfast was great! All locally sourced food.Enjoyed the little touches like the bag of sweets in the room on arrival.

Our hosts Lisa and John were fab. The actual decor was amazing. All the memorabilia on the walls told a story and suited the vibe of the guest house and its host Lisa and John. Breakfast was great with all local produce. The little extras in the room ( the fruit cake and sweets) and attention to detail was incredible. Although parking in the area can be a challenge, we were given a parking permit for the time we there. This was a nice touch. Overall this guesthouse is a must visit. A fabulous experience. Thanks Lisa and John. p.s. they recommended the Magpie cafe. Best fish and chips we have had ever 😄

We loved everything!

High Tor Guest House is a real gem. The location is great for visiting Whitby and the surrounding area. It is a ten minute walk into the town centre. We were able to park opposite the guest house with a complimentary parking permit. Our hosts were very helpful and full of great ideas on what to see and where to eat.
