Think cost of breakfast is too steep, shame there couldn’t be a lower cost option to have a more simple breakfast but £40 for a family on top of the cost of a room is just too expensive

The lifts! Atrocious. So slow. Frequently waited over 20 mins for a lift which then took ages to get to our requested floor. On the morning of checkout, we had to give up on the lift after waiting over 20 mins and had to carry heavy luggage down the stairs from floor 13 to Reception. We met many other guests doing the same thing and some were unfortunately having to walk up many flights of stairs!

Lovely hotel in a great location. The provision of car parking is essential with a city centre location.

Unfortunately our stay clashed with a major awards evening taking place in the hotel with 700 people in attendance. We were staying for one night for my wife’s 40th birthday. We went to the hotel bar hoping to have an early evening pre dinner cocktail but it was completely taken over by the awards event. We couldn’t get near the bar and when we enquired if someone could take an order from the table we were told it depends if they get chance. We could see the bar staff were working hard but clearly far too busy. We did not feel welcome so gave up and walked out. This was a real disappointment. We realise large events are good for the hotel but given we were paying over £400 for our stay we felt we had as much right to be in the bar as anyone. The hotel could have planned this better such as notifying us in advance that our stay clashed with a large event to give us an opportunity to decide whether to stay. The pre dinner awards drinks could have taken place in the function room or in a designated area of the lobby to allow space for other guests.

The breakfast was excellent, the choice and quality were high. I would say it’s one of the best hotel breakfasts Ive had. The kids particularly liked the pancake machine.

Nothing really - although it appears close to the M8 motorway, and not nestled in the centre, it was very quiet.

Lovely room, supremely comfortable bed with space to sit. Plenty of power point options, fridge and safe. Nice view. Well located for town centre, West End and Waterside precincts. Excellent parking with plenty of EV charge points (BP pulse). Fantastic breakfast.

Beds have extra firm orthopaedic mattresses, I'm talking the same feeling as sleeping on the floor with a thin mattress at camp. Made for poor sleep. Was placed near a very very very noisy group of travellers on the 15th floor. They were in and out of rooms, talking loudly shutting doors until about 2am. Mentioned it to front desk and only got a shrugged apology. Reasons above are why rating is 6.5/10 as we go to hotels to sleep so if you can't actually do that, what is the point?

We understand room service was busy however the guy tried to charge us an extra £5 for our food that came cold ,luckily when phoning they took off the charge , not sure if it was a mistake as the guy was running about mad answering a lot of calls or if it was a sneaky way to get a tip. I’ll never know the truth but I think more staff should be on room service especially during busy times / days (this was a Saturday) to take pressure off staff and ensure quality service

We stayed 7th-8th May in a double double bedded room. Room was spacious for 4 of us. All staff were friendly & welcoming. We arrived back late from a concert so ordered room service. The breakfast chef was amazing, I am gluten free, he explained the food options and prepared a special breakfast plate of gluten free goodies for me and brought them over to our table. He went above & beyond. I heard him chatting to other guest, families & children, very approachable and helpful. My daughters (and I) absolutely loved the pillows, they want me to source some for our beds at home.

There was a large family with children who took over the swimming pool and jacuzzi to which no staff monitor so it my daughter and i were unable to enjoy the leisure facilities the next day

The car park is hard to access, and we had difficulty finding a space and then difficulty getting into the space due to a large vehicle next to us. Would have appreciated choice of dining options.

No slippers or robes in rooms, you now have to upgrade for these. Expensive for what is a basic, although comfortable, room. Some staff rude, some lovely. Mixed bag really.
