The bed was very uncomfortable and so were the pillows. I would have expected better from a Hotel such as this

Hotel is well presented and clean. I like the toiletries available in the bathroom. There were also plenty of towels

The bed was rather small and needed upgrading.

The experience of staying in the hotel was very nice and very welcoming. The restaurant staff were very friendly and the food was excellent quality. Chloe and Matthew were very pleasant and helpful, a credit to the hotel.

Staff could of been welcoming and friendly, the suite we had the remotes for the TVs needed new batteries, the shower head needs replacing as it was lime scaled out, the room was a bit dusty and had a large cobweb above our bed, the bed wasn't comfortable caused a stiff neck, it being a suite felt like it could of had a bit more extras since we was celebrating our 10th year wedding anniversary that weekend, the furniture and fixtures seemed very dated and not like normal Hilton suites. Very poor lighting especially in the bedroom area And more.

The space of the suite, parking, hotel location, the fridge and breakfast. Overall rating 5.5

Parking payment was not clear. I registered at desk and expected to pay on check out. This did not occur so when I got home I spoke to the hotel who confirmed was complementary of the stay. Signage could have been clearer as I was concerned I would get fined due to not paying the overnight charge.

Room very spacious and clean. Breakfast was good with the plenty of staff to assist with any specific needs. Receptions and Lough very clean and bright. Staff were very good and accommodated an early check in which was ideal due to going to a wedding.

one lamp didn’t work and the air con was not working at all. also the staff were very rude when another member of staff gave me a box to take food upstairs. a member of staff said u can’t take hot food out you have to sign a disclaimer and I said I’m taking it upstairs not out. (this was in front of other hotel guests making me feel stupid. then another member of staff made it a huge deal and then a manager or so came up to me at my table and said u can’t use that box to take food out or upstairs to your room you need to use a plate like everyone else. she made me feel very belittled and stupid in front of guests etc. she didn’t ask if I needed help to take it up to my room or ask if I wanted a plate or anything as she could she I was struggling. I have autism and I felt like I was treated like rubbish.

the bed was lovely and comfortable that’s it

Bed itself was not very comfortable at all and the room was soo hot considering we had the thermostat on the lowest and full blast AND the window open. it was okay for a night after attending a wedding but didn’t get very much sleep as a result of the above. a bit disappointed considering it was a DoubleTree

the atrium of the hotel was lovely. Buffet breakfast was excellent with lots of options. Room was a good size

unfortunately we found the room to be too hot and no air con as heating on in the hotel. we were on ground floor and noise from room above was unacceptably loud - footsteps, banging, breaking things, voices. we spoke with reception and was slightly better on second night but still unacceptable as I’m a deep sleeper and got very little sleep for 2 nights.

location was good, restaurant did good dinner & breakfast.

The bed was incredibly uncomfortable, as were the pillows, there were no firmness to them, literally like laying your head to rest on the mattress - which was very hard, this contributed towards a very horrible sleep for us all. The 'air con' is controlled centrally, it was very hot, even with the window open. There was a letter in the room saying if you'd opened windows, turned "air con" off etc to ask reception for a fan, it was 1am, none of us wanted to go down or call receptionist, it was rather odd that a fan wasn't just placed in the wardrobe or shelves within the room as they had ample space unused. Lastly, the breakfast, as I've said was very nice, however, the plates that are labelled 'careful hot plate' is an understatement, you expect the plate to be hot, not scolding to the point it blisters someone's hand/fingers, my daughter (9) initially picked up the plate complained it was hot, her Dad then took the plate off her and again, it was so hot it blistered his entire hand, he mentioned this to a member of staff who said without any concern to he honest "aw I'm sorry" - surely this should be something that is looked in to, as families, including children are picking up these plates. The design of the buffet area could also use some signs, you had some people coming from each end of the buffet grabbing things etc maybe a sign would help the disorder.

The hotel in general was decent, the staff when we arrived were very friendly, the location of the hotel is really good, the parking was good, hotel easy to find, it's close to shops, places to eat, the motorway etc. The breakfast was very nice, I'd probably say the best buffet breakfast I've had in any of the hotels that offer them.

The bed was very uncomfortable and very noisy, and either of us didn't sleep very well at all. The air con was turned off, so the only options we had were open the window and freeze or close it, and the heating continued to pump out heat, even with it switched off! They upgraded us on the 2nd night from a queen to a queen deluxe, but its exactly the same style and size room and bed, but with a coffee machine and 2 bottles of water! In both, the bathrooms had grout missing in between the tiles and looked like they were going to fall off. The baths them selfs had been silicone sealanted over old silicone as you could see the mould line. The shower head is permanently fixed low down to the wall, so unless you're under 5 feet tall, you won't get under it, it reminds me of the Christmas film "Elf" when he has a shower in the elf bathroom! Also, the towls smell like they have been washed in vingar. The staff were friendly and gave us a "one free drinks voucher" for the inconvenience, and also gave my wife a free desert for her birthday. The £10 ahead breakfast wasn't brilliant. Lots of the food was either over cooked or had been left out for a considerable amount of time and was dry and tough. We've stayed here a few years ago, and we were fairly comfortable and happy with the at the time, but it's long overdue an update for the prices they charge.

    Convenient to where we live.
