Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

the Hotel is old, but still fine. Cleaning is not every day and you have to ask to get it done. The communication was very good. there is a whatsApp number on the back of the door, you send a message to that and things get's done.

United KingdomIt was dated. The bathroom smelled of drains and the window was broken so didn’t shut properly, the staff did fix it, but it still didn’t close fully. My daughter’s room had a similar problem with the window being broken so it was freezing!

It is a self-serving hotel with no information about that. The doors are locked by a touchpad key lock. The keyboard doesn't work properly.

United KingdomWe were re located into a hotel next door called Hotel Orlando. It was very basic, we were on the top floor. The room was small for three people, the bathroom was tiny. The double bed was very small , I had to share with my 25 year old daughter. It wasn't comfortable for two adults. There was no bedside lamp or mats in bathroom.
The beds felt clean. Check in was easy.

United KingdomThere was no phone signal in the room at all, which wouldn't have mattered if the wifi worked. But it didn't! There was one spot in the middle of the bed where we could get 4G, however we were in the basement so perhaps that was why. Nothing was overly clean, and also the TV had no signal either. Fine for what we needed - just a bed for the night, but wasn't much more! I couldn't really give a rating for the staff as we didn't see anybody. It was a self check-in/check-out with keypads which was great once we'd figured it out! We also couldn't get any hot water running for a long time in the morning. Wouldn't rush back, but as I said in the positives, we couldn't fault the location.
The location was great - we had a show at the Eventim Apollo, which was a 10 minute walk away. Very convenient!
