The rest room was not as clean as expected.

The room overlooked another building with a ventilation system that ran 24 hours a day (non-stop), making a lot of noise. Every 10 to 15 minutes, the ventilation system made even louder noises, as if it was recharging or something. Even with the windows closed, we could hear it. The doors of the rooms are very heavy, causing a lot of noise when they are shut. Our neighbors were constantly entering and exiting their room late at night, which was also disturbing. Early in the morning, workers were discharging glass bottles or something similar, which woke us up very early. Overall, ask for a room that overlooks a quiet street.

The location was great, many coffee places and restaurants around. Close to touristy places.

Breakfast is not very rich, personally I didn’t like it. And also served in another building nearby. In general, the rooms are narrow and dark, could be brighter.

We stayed with my family in two different rooms. The rooms are not very big, but they are clean and tidy. The materials in the bathroom were of good quality. There are many markets nearby. It wasn't bad at all considering the location.

We had a room in under the roof, it was very warm when we arrived and there was no AC. It was okay as we didn't stay so much time in the room. Also there's no elevator but it's manageable.

A comfortable hotel in very close distance to the old town and Royal Mile. Clean rooms, everything which is needed for a short trip in Edinburgh. Really friendly hotel employees.

Room is quite small, but still ok. There is some kind of loading dock near by so it was bit noisy in the morning. Shower need deep cleaning as it was mouldy. We asked to change linen after 3 nights but it was never done.

Nice and friendly staff. Lovely buffet breakfast. Convenient location.

The bathroom fan turned on by itself very early on Sunday morning so we were woken up by this, not sure if it’s on a timer as we couldn’t turn it off. The street outside was very noisy with traffic and people throughout the night.

The location was an easy walk from the train station and the main areas. It was good for a one night stay.

Perhaps the sound of the doors closing rather loudly, (quite loud in the hallway when someone entered and exited their room), but really it was no biggie.

The breakfast was great. Fresh and filling. What I liked in particular were the staff who served it. Warm and welcoming.

Back of hotel looks onto yard for Aldi/Sainsburys. AC unit made a loud rattling/buzzing noise that is very noticeable even with windows shut, making it impossible to sleep. Appreciate this isn’t the fault of hotel, however feel this is needing addressed (possibly better sound proofing in rooms)

The room was ok, but there is a problem with the insulation for the windows. the room was kind of cold because the exgternal bad weather. There is no a black out system on the window.
