Shared bathroom was awful, small. not clean, nothing worked, toilet in the bathroom, The fire alarm went off during the night and we had to stand outside for over an hour with a confused staff member and no safety procedures, Then without any official checks we where told to go back to our rooms to sleep, very scarey and worrying - and illegal I should imagine.

Bed very uncomfortable, needs replacing. Surprised there was no room cleaning/towel changing during our 2 night stay. Didn't sleep well because of the bed and a constant buzzing, eventually discovered this was caused by the "touch" bedside lamp which had to be turned off at the socket to stop the noise. Slightly concerned by the number of 4 gang extensions. This was not an expensive stay so didn't have huge expectations but with a few changes in the room it could have been very good indeed.

Very friendly Staff, excellent location, food very good. Room compact but clean and acceptable. Apparent that a real effort had been put into areas such as the en-suite bathroom and provision of a tea tray with pottery tea pot and cups

Very dated, uncomfortable beds, outside pub light left on ALL night - it was actually lighter at night then it was during the day! Staff could do with a course in customer service - on arriving to check in we were completely ignored until lady behind bar had finished serving and chatting to a local. Is it really too much to ask to acknowledge the arrival of people clearly there to check-in with a simple smile and “Hi, be with you in a couple of minutes ok” instead left standing there feeling invisible. On returning to pub later and not sure which door or enter through, again pretty gruff response, almost annoyed that we’d gone to the wrong door. Felt like we were a bit of an inconvenience to be honest.

The room wasn’t great, the bed was very uncomfortable. Only 1 pillow per person when usually you get 2 and the mattress, bed frame and duvet were not great.

The room was very basic the TV didnt work the bathroomwas a joke no hot water and no chairs in the bedroom .

I may be wrong but I'd guess the new owners have other businesses as there was no sign of their presence while we were there. When we left in the morning, there was no-one to ask if we'd enjoyed our stay; we just put the key on the bar and left and the whole thing seemed a little impersonal rather than the family run business it was previously. My main complaint would be the bedroom. Whilst a lot has been spent externally, the bedrooms are terribly old and tired. They'll probably be re furbished at some point but, until then, in my opinion they're very expensive and should be offered at a discounted rate to reflect their condition.

We have stayed here many times over the years. We love its proximity to the river and to the Norfolk Broads as a whole. The previous owners have retired, the pub has been taken over by 3 chaps and a great deal seems to have been invested on the outside space.

What a wonderful setting. Right by the river and 15 minutes to both Norwich and Norfolk Broads. Lovely friendly pub and room and bed were great.

Dated furniture. No information leaflet in room. Small TV. Room a bit cramped for a double. No room for bedside table/stand, no place to sit with a coffee. Wardrobe could perhaps be replaced by an armchair and side table and just a clothes rail for hanging garments. Green LED on emergency lighting unit might make room a bit bright for some at night.

Convenient location. OK for 1 or 2 nights. Clean room, nice ensuite bathroom, good shower, towels and toiletries. I believe all rooms are upstairs, so no private patio area. Quiet overnight.

Dated pine furniture, no bedside tables, extension lead across the floor, a mattress covered in waterproofing, lack of pillows. Bed light pull cord too short so extended with a cotton thread:( Ensuite, large bath with shower over, no none slip mat, no grab rail....no helpful information in room re meals, wifi etc, No choice of drinks in room but tea or coffee....flavored teas would be nice for us that drink them. A dissapointing stay. Maybe hoping to fill with contract workers not leisure guests.

The room was smaller than I had hoped and got extremely hot at night due to the size and lack of fan. I worried that if we opened the window, it would let in many mosquitoes. The bed, floor boards and room door all creaked / squeaked so getting up at night to walk down the corridor to the bathroom woke up my wife. There was only 1 bedside table, due to the size of the room so I had nowhere to put my phone, drink, book etc.

Staff were very friendly. The location is great - right on one of the rivers of the Broads. The breakfast was good and although it was not included, was reasonable value.

Parking was almost impossible in pub car park or anywhere close by due to numbers of visitors to use facilities by the river. Room very basic and noise late at night from other rooms made sleep difficult. Almost impossible to get any wi fi signal. Room description suggested it had a patio ? This was just the outside drinking area for the pub.

Very clean room and food in restaurant was excellent. Lovely location by river .
