Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe only thing I didn't like is that we couldn't stay for longer!
From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the Landmark Hotel. All of the staff were incredibly welcoming, especially Ana on Reception. She really made our 8 year old son feel special. We stayed in one of the Marylebone Family Studio suites, which was amazing - spacious, clean, comfortable, and overlooking the stunning atrium. We had dinner and breakfast in the Winter Garden restaurant. The food was great (I was especially impressed by the breakfast selection) and the service was friendly and attentive. We used the swimming pool in the spa, and again were warmly greeted and taken care of. A member of staff guided us through everything and showed us to the pool, which was well maintained throughout our visit. All in all, we loved our stay at the Landmark Hotel. The decor is beautiful and the staff are exceptional - you really get the sense that nothing is too much trouble. We can't wait to go back!

United KingdomI would have liked there to have been a slightly longer timeframe for children to be allowed to swim, not all children would bother the adults whilst in the pool. Also I thought 1 biscuit each in the room was a little tight for the price paid. 4 of us sharing a room for 1 biscuit each 🙃
The hotel was beautiful with lovely staff. The hotel smelt gorgeous

IrelandThe services at breakfast was inconsistent, particularly on Sunday morning. We were left waiting for over 10 minutes to be served and another 15 minutes for our coffees to arrive. Our order for an omelet was disappointing because we did not get what we asked for. On departure, we were kindly asked which end of the hotel we would like to collect our luggage, but it was not there when we went to pick it up.
Superbly appointed luxurious hotel, which is very comfortable. The breakfast is one of the best you can get with a fabulous range to suit all tastes We liked the spa, which wasn't too busy, even during kids times

United KingdomFor the cost of the room I expected better. Breakfast was an additional charge. Also there were some things that needed attention in the room. A loose lock. Wallpaper peeling up and not all the lamps worked. Reception were pretty clueless on check in. I had 2 rooms booked and they didn't understand and repeatedly told me I was checked in despite me saying but you have only given me keys to one room and showing my reservation clearly with 2 rooms. As time was against it was very frustrating having that language barrier.
Lovely old hotel and the staff were very pleasant. Unfortunately there was a language barrier with some

PolandThe £200 deposit upon arrival "just in case" was a bit of a surprise. Also one of the sinks in the bathroom was clogged.
The staff were phenomenal, making us feel looked after and treated in a way we've never really experienced before. Gigantic room. Attention to detail, quality of furnishings, design overall, are all on a very high level. The bowl of fruit waiting for us in the room was a lovely touch, and of course the wonderful, very large, fresh-scented swimming pool.

United KingdomOur first impressions on arrival were not so positive though. The pumps on the handwash and shower gel bottles in our bathroom did not work. We asked for one to be replaced and lived with the other. The bottles are probably refilled, good for the environment but unfortunate that the pumps are not checked for damage before check-in. We ordered room service on both evenings. Unfortunately on the first night our champagne was flat, the lamb biryani was missing the natural yoghurt accompaniment and we asked for extra pineapple with our exotic fruit platter and it was delivered with none. Although the fruit salad was taken away and rectified, the yoghurt was only brought to our room after the meal was finished (and my mouth on fire lol). We did receive an apology on the night, as the chef is new, but when I mentioned what had happened when we checked out there was not much sympathy and no adjustment to the bill. £42 for 2 glasses of flat champagne and £38 for an incomplete lamb biryani is not good value for money 🥂🍛🤑 The way the food is brought to your room and the table set up is impressive though and a nice experience
Overall the hotel staff provided excellent customer service and thoughtful touches like a card and dessert in our room, as well as the complimentary towel swans and rose petals I requested, to help us celebrate our anniversary. Our Atrium Suite was luxurious, overlooking the beautiful atrium, and the hotel is so elegant. We enjoyed our afternoon tea in the Winter Garden restaurant, again with excellent service. The concierge staff were outstanding and so friendly and helpful

SingaporeWinter Garden is great - transport you back in time. Rooms are huge by London standards. Service is great - consistent across all touch points, they’ll try to do what they can for you. Safe with security and roving guards around corridors. Location is great and near everything we wanted to go to. Not too crowded an area
