Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Kingdom2 slight niggles! The TV in our room had a very dark setting which made TV viewing in daylight hard and the carpet in bedroom looked tired and marked in places but the service at this hotel really did overide these things.
Attention to detail in all areas of hotel. Every member of staff we met were lovely and friendly. Bed comfortable and room and bathroom clean. Our room was very spacious. Breakfasts were fresh and kept topped up with a good variety and nice coffee! The location was a 5 min walk to poplar DLR and less than 10 to West India Quay and Canary Wharf so lots of options for travel. 3.5 mile walk into London via Thames path too which was a great walk. We used the Spa area too which was clean and again lovely staff.

United Kingdom3rd floor is steep stairs to get to and extra lift from 2nd floor is small and very slow. Would be great to have option of hot chocolate to drink at breakfast.
Very nice comfy rooms, fancy shower and spacious bathroom, good breakfast, recommend as a good 4 star hotel 👌

United KingdomOn arrival we took the tube to Canary Wharf and then had difficulty finding our way to the hotel. Visitors are best advised to go to Poplar on the Docklands railway. From there its a short walk to the hotel.
A tasty buffet breakfast was available by polite and obliging staff. The hotel was quiet and relaxing and an ideal base to explore the Canary Wharf area - which we did. In fact, we walked all the way down the isle of Dogs and under the Thames in the pedestrian tunnel, popping out beside the Cutty Sark in Greenwich. The staff were very pleasant and efficient - much appreciated.

United KingdomCheck in should be 3pm , which is late enough but we had to wait in reception until 3.20pm for our room. Air-conditioning noisy in the night, like a gurgling sound.
Beautiful building. Nice rooms. Quiet location. Car parking was easy to find and a space had been reserved for us, as arranged via email.

BelgiumThe aircon was a little loud but you can control it yourself. Pretty hightec home automation system in the room which required a little getting used to but all in all, it was great.
Great breakfast, beautiful room, very friendly staff! With an uber, the location was perfect to get anywhere you wanted to go. The room was small but very clean. Our bed was on a little extra floor, which made it very romantic. Large television as well.

United KingdomWe've decided not to have breakfast here anymore as the menu is quite limited for the price.
We are regulars and have stayed in different rooms on each occasion. Each room is very individual and quirky and to a high spec, we love them. The spa seems like a hidden gem as we've been lucky to have the space to ourselves so felt like a real retreat - the same with the gym. It was just us didn't feel cramped as it's a small, windowless space. Hello to Sara, who remembered us from before and is always very friendly. Also, the hotel always smells AMAZING because they have their own branded perfumes.

United KingdomHotel advertised a spa. Nope. A small steam room and a small sauna. Nothing else. Went to have a steam Sunday morning and nothing switched on. The staff member said she would put them on but it was already 9am so too late. I asked for a bottle of presseco to be in room when we arrived as it was hubby's birthday, but it wasn't there so had to go and ask at reception for it. Not the surprise I was hoping for. Reception also asked for photo ID. Why?? and took £100 out of my account for 'extras '. Again why??. Not happy about that. Bar was only open for 3 hours. Why??
Room nice, breakfast good, staff nice, lovely toiletries in room. Easy to get to 02 for gig we were going to. Close to DLR and bus stops so easy to get around. Lots of places to get food.
