How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Room wasn’t the best unfortunately was a few issues with the TV and especially in the bathroom. Breakfast didn’t have much options for hot food
It gave a very elegant vibe, very clean and very well presented

The street going across the hotel is very noisy but... it doesn't affect the rooms. At least our room was very quiet.
The Breakfast was amazing. There were a lot of options to choose from and the people were very friendly there. Also, the staff at the reception was very receptive and helpful. Room have plenty of space and the location made this location very easily to move to touristic and local plans.

It was really let down by the fact that the cleaners was pushing the wheeled laundry carts through the passenger lifts from the early hours of the morning and the noise it made as it came in and out of the lift resonated through the corridor. This woke us up early and kept us awake, so we didn’t really have much sleep.
The property was spotlessly clean, ideally located and the staff were really friendly.

There was a dull knocking noise we could hear in our room which we think was to do with the lift. So every time the lift went up or down, you could hear a clucking noise all the time. Seems worst in the mornings.
The hotel room had great views of Tower Bridge, The Tower of London, the Walkie Talkie Building and the Gherkin. You could also see the Shard. Other hotels charge you for rooms with this view. I know one hotel charges you a few hundred more just to see a view of Big Ben. The hotel is very nice and you are met with a very pleasant smell when you walk into the reception. It’s in a very good location too.

many knocks at the door, to drop a car, housekeeping x2 (even though we got late checkout) in there defense we didn't put the tag on the door

Room not properly cleaned on second day.one ofcthe two lifts was broken and two lifts are inadequate. Thrre were long delays going to and from tenth floor. Weird smell around reception.

The room is a bit dark in terms of lighting. There are some non-UK sockets in the room but a bit limited - it would have been good to have non-UK sockets close to the bed to enable charging. The shower is not too convenient and takes time to adjust. The lifts up and down, including to the conference rooms, are very slow and you have to wait for quite some time (so it might be better to factor that into consideration and get lower floor rooms).
The hotel is close to the Tower Hill station. There is a Tesco Express supermarket which is open till quite late, which is close by. The staff are friendly and especially the concierge Bogdan is super helpful. The room is spacious and has all essentials. The breakfast options are quite extensive.

Reception staff quite happy to let you stand unacknowledged whilst they chat idly. Pool and sauna closed for one of the two days of my stay - one of the deciding factors in my choice Lifts are annoying - oversubscribed so you're waiting ages for a lift and when you get in it, the doors are hyper sensitive and reopen if you move even slightly. I gave up and took the stairs most times. Cramped bathroom.
Clean comfy classy room. Quiet and well sound isolated Nice big bed. Coffee machine was great. Great gym. Great location.

Our room was spacious and really loved the huge bed. We had a lovely spa afternoon including a refreshing swim in the tranquil pool. A great position for Tower of London and St. Katherine docks. Would definitely stay again.
