The hotel needs updating to reflect a modern look. The carpet also needs changing if possible cause it smells.The bathtub seems unsafe to use due to transferring difficulties. Could do with a shower if possible.

The beds were comfortable and room spacious. The staff were friendly and supportive.

The condition of the hotel is worn. One light didn't work and fan in the bathroom was on all the times which was quite noisy. Also the swimming pool access isn't free of charge. We have just arrived one hour before it closes and still expected to pay for the entrance.

Had to pay to weigh my luggage, I didn't have many pound coins as I was at the end of my trip. Would be better if wifi was available in the rooms. No room for a bedside table against the beds. Toilet roll was fixed to the wall behind the toilet (would be better on the door). Air con didnt really work to cool down. Would be good to print the wifi details on the room card wallet. My door didnt shut properly and it was difficult to lock.

Food was good and reasonably priced. Liked the large chesterfields in the lounge. Rooms were very quiet. Staff were very friendly.

The room was very dated. Needed to be refurbished. The bathroom had mould, no bath mat provided so had to use one of the towels. No toilet brush. The bedside light was hanging off the wall. The TV didn’t work . There was no Wi-Fi and the phone reception was awful .

The breakfast was fantastic. The leisure facilities were good, gym, pool sauna even had a squash court . The additional charge was minimal.

As only wanting a transfer one way to the airport was told should get a taxi!!!! I had booked the hotel with one of the main reason it had a shuttle bus which was then told on arrival extra charge and we should actually book a taxi instead of using it So wasn’t very happy. We did book the shuttle bus in the end which was very helpful

The hotel is a bit tired. The restaurant is only open to people who have booked but when you are only staying for one night that seems a bit pointless to go to all that effort in advance. Our early flight meant that we couldn't have breakfast until we reached the airport, which is just one of those things that you have to suck up I suppose. It took what felt like ages to check in when there was a queue of 3 people.

Although we felt like a captive audience, I can honestly say that the food exceeded our expectations.

Really disappointed booked it for swimming pool for my son to enjoy He was not allowed to use jacuzzi, sauna or steam room not allowed to jump in to the pool basically not allowed anything. Room Aircon was faulty and there was biscuits expired in February to enjoy. Really bad smell outside too so not able to sit outside

Unfortunately my experience with the men at the front desk brought the rating down. My boyfriend and I walked up to the counter, and my boyfriend mentioned that it’s in my name so I would be the one checking in throughout the checking in process however, the man behind the counter continued to hand any paperwork to my boyfriend, even though I was the one that needed to sign things as again it was my reservation. It came off as extremely sexist and rude and wasn’t a great opening to the stay.

The rooms were nice and clean, wish I was able to stay for than just one night.

No mirror in the room! And bathroom steamed up fast. Would have liked plug sockets next to the bed not under the window!?! There was a very strong smell of cannabis in the corridor from reception to the room and we alerted staff to this. An air freshener was sprayed even though it is a non-smoking area. This wasn't sufficient, especially as we were in a family room thankfully not with our children this time
