The decor was somewhat dated. The accommodation didn’t offer food in my booking and there wasn’t a local shop to buy this from. The bathroom mirror was too high up the bathroom wall that I could only see the top of my head - although the dressing table had a mirror.

Paul, landlord, was friendly and approachable and accommodated me well by being aware of my needs - he could see I struggled a little with my mobility and suggested he accommodate me in a double downstairs bedroom with its own bathroom instead of in my selected single bedroom with shared bathroom at the same cost. The accommodation was spacious and had a lot of storage space.

Room felt a bit dated and had a strong cigarette smell until windows were opened. Tap in bathroom was difficult to turn off and set too far back to use the sink properly.

Three flights of stairs to our room and the floor was extremely creaky

Steep stairs to the upper floor may present a bit of an issue for some people.

Good off street parking. Great location. Easy access to come and go. Plentiful supply of tea, coffee and towels for the room.

Although I could not get the TV in the room to work this did not spoil my stay as I made do with alternative arrangements

The Guest House was well situated within walking distance of York city Centre. if you are less energetic there is a Number 7 Bus stop right opposite the guest house which takes you right into the City Centre. although no Food was included in this stay there is Sunny's Café and sandwich bar 9 minutes walk from the Guest house on Fulford Road. If you want an evening meal the bus takes you right into the City Centre with plenty of Choice's for food. The room was well heated and comfy. If I ever Stay in York again I will consider this my port of call for Accommodation

The attic room ceiling was mostly angled making it difficult to stand up fully. That said, all else was very comfortable and good value for the accommodation and service.

The water pressure in the shower could have been better. Breakfast wasn't available during the week.

Excellent location. Beautiful edwardian building. Convenient parking on site. Large bright room. Quiet even facing the main road. Lots of tea and coffee provided as well as nice toiletries.

Matress could have been bit softer as my back was a bit sore this morning and thats all i can comment with.

This was a really lovely place. The owner was really friendly. Rooms were really well stocked with tea, coffee etc and more available in hallway. Both ours and sons rooms had our own bathroom which we were pleased with. Place was really clean. All in all, a lovely place that we would recommend and come back to. Got an uber to the centre for £5 but bus right outside near enough. Local pub wonderful too

The stay was great for a couple of nights. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was lovely. Room was fine, television could have been a bit bigger and lower on the wall, the remote control, was not very good.

Parking was restricted and required some tricky manoeuvring. The lack of a bar, or ability to drink in the room, was a little disappointing given the distance from the town (about a mile).

The room was clean, the bed comfortable, the shower easy to operate and hot. Breakfast was excellent, and service efficient and friendly.

The quality of the room was poor for the price. The room was not refreshed from day to day. The towels were not very clean and stained. The room had spiderwebs and stains on the ceiling and smelled mouldy when we arrived.
