The house lies 2 km off Helston, a car or bikes are required.

The apartment consists of the main rooms of the owners in the ground floor: Big living room, big kitchen, bed room, bath room and corridor. (The owners live in the attic and attached rooms). Extremely friendly and caring hosts, filling the fridge with eggs, milk and a homemade cake. The hosts have a park (much more than a garden) with chicken, ducks and even three ostrich birds. The garden is a paradise for strolling and enjoying the sun. Surely an appartment we will remember and recommend.

This is a wonderful place to stay for a few days. We had a great time, which enabled us to explore the coastal path in the north and the south. Melanie is a very friendly host, very helpful, nothing was too much. The welcome home-made cake and free-range eggs were a treat. 10 stars, the best booking.com ever.

Wonderful huge garden, really amazing! Walking with the rheas was an unforgettable experience. Melanie and Bill are perfect hosts, we felt like at home from the very first moment. And the home-made cake was fantastic!

Not staying longer

The welcome. Having a cold beer sitting and chatting in front of the pond after the tour of the gardens. Having a wander around the gardens the following evening watching all the wild life. You can visit stunning local beauty spots but do take time to be still and reflect on your days well spent in front of the as the sun gently sinks behind the horizon in these lovely gardens.

Everything perfect.

Millbrook is in lovely peaceful setting and we received a very warm welcome from Melanie and Bill. The bungalow was cosy, clean, comfortable and well equipped, a home from home, set in three and a half acres of beautiful landscaped gardens. We enjoyed meeting the two cats, hens, geese, rabbits and rheas. The freshly laid free range eggs and huge sponge cake were delicious. Thanks Melanie. (The gym was useful for working off the calories!) It's a good base for exploring the Lizard, St Michael's Mount, Helford and its gardens We can also recommend the river cruise from Budock Vean. We'll definitely be back.

The property was clean, comfortable and a real home from home set in beautiful countryside. We were made to feel so welcome by our hosts with Cornish tea, coffee and an amazing homemade Victoria sandwich. Also freshly laid eggs. We were taken on a tour of the lovely garden complete with rheas, ducks and hens whilst buzzards soared above. Just perfect.

Perfect setting within three acres of beautiful gardens. Our accommodation was very cosy, comfortable and clean. Melanie and Bill were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. We loved being shown round their stunning garden!

Melany and Bill, two beautiful persons. You feel Their influence and their generosity all over their stunning garden. We stayed only two days, I would recommend to stay longer to have the time to enjoy this very lovely garden as well as the surroundings which offers many visiting posibilities.

Nothing, everything was perfect.

We had a great stay. Melanie and Bill were lovely hosts that made us feel welcome and helped with all the little questions and requests that we had. We even had a delicious self-made cake waiting for us when we arrivef. The gardens are truly beautiful, and we enjoyed spending some time there as well. The appartment was very well equipped and in a really quiet neighbourhood. We can truly recommend this!

We liked everything! Beautiful location, amazing hosts, lovely accommodation. Very clean with lots of little extra touches (sherry and port for a tipple in the evening), eggs, milk, homemade cake.....amazing!
